    Postings such as this are inspirational, indeed.

    They can be very dangerous too.

    A little over a year ago I was privy to a marketing test using several forums and a few very uninspired websites. The idea was to gauge viral marketing in forums to see how many figured out what the product was and sent a request email to promote it.
    The honeypot was set up and the psych profile was female, Asian, potentially naive but suddenly making crazy money on this one mystery product.

    The surprising results should make my point and I shall elaborate on it no further.

    Hundreds (perhaps more than a thousand by now) not only found the honeypot product but went further and found the marketer who ran the test and subsequently found a niche goldmine that he had to himself for more than a year which was suddenly flooded with novices who were willing to pay huge CPC and destroy the niche before they ran out of money with the customary "CPC does not work" complaint.
