I've attempted to promote clickbank products in the past just using Google Adwords and ran through a bit of money on clicks directly to the clickbank merchants page. This resulted in very poor sales, about 7 over a month, but well over 600 odd click throughs. It would seem as though I should be having my Google adword advert direct to a squeeze page with a free offering then once they sign up direct to merchants page.
Is this the correct and most affective way of a) building a list so that if the customer does not purchase you have a least captured their details and b)using the marketing dollars wisely to generate leads and possible sales.
