Default Any bad experiences with mp3 websites

    Hi,

I am a new affiliate with clickbank and was really glad to find this forum. I gained so much experience i had to join.

Anyway, i tried to promote a mp3 website which they claimed 1:20 conversion, and to my surprise in less than 12 hours i had 102 hits, but to my disappointment i had zilch, nada sales. Was that all hyped or what?

Also I read about fraudulent ppc clicks, was i a target?

Do you guys recommend any service for tracking such activities?

Thanks in advance and willing to learn.

Most mp3 shops have been shut down recently. Pro Cash I think shut down downloadshield a few weeks ago. I wouldn't touch them anymore.

Thanks for your help and i hope to be active too. I just started and need alot to learn about what really works and what really doesn't work.

Is there a seasonal trend that i should be aware of, before i get burned? What are the best items to work on. How much time on the average should i wait before i get any sale?

I tried one of the auto auction and made a sale after 51 clicks. Now mind you it wasn't much after the expeses, but i was excited for being my first sale. Is that about avearge before you really see any sale, or am i doing something that needs to be better tuned.

I would really appreciate all the help.

    Thanks again guys.

Most of them suck. I tried 6 of them with no luck. Then I tried Downloadshield and had success with it for 9 Months before my spending started to equal my sales. I wouldn't touch these sites anymore.

As for the 1 in 20 conversion claims? Total BS! Don't believe any site that makes those kinds of claims. There are very few that converts that high, but the MP3 sites do not.

102 clicks is not a real test. If a site really does convert at 1 in 20 and you don't have any sales after 102 clicks, does that mean that their conversion claims are total BS? Does that mean you got a bunch of fraudulent clicks? Possible, but you will not know after 102 clicks. There are way too many variables. What kind of traffic are you sending the site? Targeted keywords? Or junk traffic? What is your ad position? Why can 1 affiliate promote a product using PPC and make lots of money and another affiliate can not make any money with the same product? If you do not get any sales after 102 clicks are you going to give up on the product and try a different one? I wouldn't. When I test a product, I'll spend at least double the commission in advertising costs to determine if I should continue with it or not. Everyone has their own way.
