Default Google Adwords Tips From Me...

    Hi Guys,

Lately I've been feeling nice so what I've decided to do is start this entry and give out adwords tips that will be helpful to the people who need help with adwords. I will give out a new tip everyday for 2 weeks so be on the lookout for them. I may also give out secret tips that I use that I can guarantee that no one is using. On the other hand, I will also answer any Google Adwords questions you may have to the best of my knowledge.

    Tip #1:

When setting up google adwords campaign, make sure everything you set up has great quality. What I mean by that is that you're ads have to be rich with the keywords you are bidding on. Its even better if the website you are promoting is rich with keywords that you are bidding on. If not, make a landing page rich with the keywords and promote that. If the quality of your campaigns are nice, your quality score will end up being high. The higher your quality score, the lower you pay per click. The lower you pay per click can definitely lead to more profits.

    Sincerely,

    H Garcia

P.S. Stay tuned for more tips from me.

Wow H Garcia, thanks for doing this. It was your post about 40,000 keywords that gave me the kick in the ass I needed to retool my adwords campaigns. I had kind of given up on the idea of making any money with adwords until that thread came along.

I look forward to your tips!

Hi hgarcia, I have questions for you:

When you have large keyword lists, does the majority of your gross income come from a few highly-searched keywords? Or does the bulk of the income come from the more specific, less searched terms?

E.g.: "home loans" vs "30 year mortgage la jolla"

I tend to see the former and it frustrates me because I either end up with a small keyword list of terms that have tons of competition and high cost, or a large keyword list that has no competition but no clickthroughs.

    Thanks again for your input!

    HGarcia,

How does the landing page being rich with the same keywords affect the performance of your google ad campaign?

Starting last December - Google implemented a landing page "quality score" that effects your overall "quality score". So if your landing page is really crappy such as small bridge pages - you may see your position drop or your keyword prices will rise.

Huh...I didn't know that. That could explain a few things.

    Hi aznbbj,

It really depends on the market you are in because there are a lot of keywords that are still untapped that a lot of people search for that you can pay as low as 1 cent for them. In a market that is very competitive, it is absolutely better to get thousands of less searched targeted keywords than the other. Even though they are less searched, thousands of them can definitely mean better results and more clicks for your ad. If they are really targeted, you can really make more profits. My suggestion is to stay away from general keywords which are the mostly highly searched ones and competition on them is really insane unless if you have the money to spend to compete with them. You should first make a lot of money with the more targeted keywords first. After that, decide whether you want to compete with the general keywords. But first start thinking of more targeted ones.

    Sincerely,

    H Garcia

CBNiche is right on target and if you do have a good quality score, Google will definitely reward you.

    Hi Guys,

Hope everyone is having a great day. Now here is the next tip:

    Tip #2:

Want to promote a product or service for a certain market but cant decide which product or service to promote? Well use a page rotator! Gather up 3 or more products or services in the same niche and put your affiliate links for each one in a rotator. Be sure to pick out only the best looking ones. Pick the ones that you think you'd buy or sign up for. Promote the rotator URL and test from there. Whichever product or service makes you the first sale, you can either: take out all the other ones and promote the one that made you the sale fully or you can continue until you narrowed it down to best product(s) or service(s) that made you the sales. Be creative with this one. You can also rotate landing pages with this and see which landing page does better. The important thing is to test out what works and what doesnt. You can find the perfect landing or squeeze page (if you want to capture the persons email address) and the perfect product to promote with this method.

    Sincerely,

    H Garcia

    Hi Guys,

    Here is my next tip:

    Tip #3

If you have a list of converting keywords, you can add and/or change one word in those converting keywords and have another converting keyword. In other words you can take a one converting keyword and makes thousands more of converting keywords with it. Its also best to think outside the box when doing this. Remember creativity has a great deal to do with it.

    Sincerely,

    H Garcia

Hey H Garcia, nice tip! I can definitely multiply my keywords like mad with that strategy. I followed your earlier tip about increasing the quality of my campaigns and though my earnings haven't gone up yet, my costs have gone down dramatically - in one campaign, I spent one third my regular daily total. It's been great for net profits. Not as many lookie-loos as before, that's for sure.

Do you check your keywords against overture or word tracker (to see if and/or how often they are searched)? Or do you just put them up and let the chips fall where they may?

    Hi aznbbj,

Thats great to hear that your costs have gone down. Now from experience I learned to never rely on overture and word tracker or any other search kind of thing to see if my keywords get any searches. They are just inaccurate. Some of the keywords that I use dont appear at all in these things or show that they get low searches. The only thing I manage to find them useful is to check up on the whole entire market for a certain niche. For example if I were to start a campaign on "crocheting", I'd check how many searches are done for the word "crochet". If it happens to have thousands of searches, I will try my best to learn everything about it first and then I will go from there and start thinking of keywords that I think people will be searching for based on what I learned and lead them to a crochet related product. So in conclusion, I rely on the creative side of my mind to make the keywords for me. The more you work on this with your creativity, the better you'll get in being able to create converting keywords on the fly which means no need to rely on overture or word tracker ever! Thats how I was able to come up with my "keyword template theory" system which maybe available to a couple of people pretty soon when I release it. Just maybe. Im still thinking about it.

    Sincerely,

    H Garcia

P.S. Stay tuned for more tips!

    Hi Guys,

    Here is next tip:

    Tip #4:

Already got a good performing campaign? Great! But then all of a sudden, the product or service you are promoting goes down so you change the product or service you are promoting. Good or bad? Its good if you own your own domain name and have a landing page or squeeze page leading to the product. This way your quality score wont change. Now it becomes bad when you are only promoting your own affiliate link. For example, if you were promoting your own affiliate link and you've managed to obtain high ranking positions and making great money. All of a sudden the page goes down and you decide to change the product you are promoting with a different url, this will end up bringing you back to day one. This is because if you change your destination URL for a good performing campaign, your quality score will go back down and you will lose your high ranking positions. From there you would have to start all over again. The solution to this is to own your own domain name. Besides if you own your own domain name, you will be competing with nobody for the same name and you can always change the product or service you are promoting without affecting your quality score.

    Sincerely,

    H Garcia

    Hi Danz,

What it really is a systematic way of coming up with the best converting keywords easily. It also contains 3 levels and each level is broken down into 5 stages. If one completes all 3 levels and stages, he or she will make a ton of money. Heck Im still in level 1 stage 1 and I barely just scratched the surface for my market. I cant even imagine how much money I would be making if I finish all three levels. Other than that if enough people use it, it may lead to the saturation of Google. So I'm still thinking whether or not I should release it and let people use it. I may use it to the fullest first and then give it out for a couple of people to use. Maybe you could be one of them. After I give it out to a couple of people, I will sell it for $10,000. That should be a good price for it.

    Sincerely,

    H Garcia

    Hi,

Sure thing I'll put you guys on my list. Now heres another tip for you guys:

    Tip #5

Got great converting keywords? Great! Take it a step further by bidding higher on exact match keywords, a little higher on phrase match keywords, and keep the broad match keywords cpcs the same or a little higher if you want. Test what works out for you. Remember its all about testing.

    Sincerely,

    H Garcia

hi, i have a few good keywords that are quite popular and managed to get clicks but the bid price suddenly went up to $8-$9 per click. It is too expensive. Any idea what should i do ?
