Every business is unique, so is a website
Every business is started with a unique concept, every business has something niche to offer to its customers. The same inspiration should be taken when designing for websites, may be you are on the same business line but still you have something special for your customers the same spirit should be taken while a site designed for the business. Your web site design should be unique because every business has something new to offer.
Well some businesses in the quest of making their website look 'unique' and 'flashy' end up putting up a website which is state of the art,attractive but too intricate for a new user.
I think website should be such that user does not end up getting perplexed.just by simple browsing in first few minutes it should be able to gauge the nature of the business and services on the offing.

Even if you designed your UNIQUE Website there may be same concept design somewhere in Asia or Africa, you may never know...
And trust me, there are soooo many website owners who are appreciated on the market and valued that use web templates)
