Default Which one of our magazine advertisements is the best?

    Hello all!

We are only going to use one ad, but we have four. Would anyone like to offer an opinion of which ad we should use? We can only use one.
We want to promote our brand name, let everyone know that on Sept, 15th we will have new programs and a free ebook for download. We also have a diverse collection of headlines, so any additional feedback would be most appreciated.

Which one of our four advertisements do you feel will fit Revenue magazine the best?

    The "Terminator" approach:

The "ATM in living room" rendition:

    The "Simple competition" graphical statement:

And last but not least, the "Filet Mignon" weapon:

    What do you think?

Nebula.........all the layouts look tremendous. Very well done.......congratulations.

I chose number 3 due to it's understated appearance and the fact that it would probably be most likely to attract the attention of both the "new school" and "old school" marketers who read Revenue.

I look forward to seeing the ink.

I agree third one because of the message....

Graphically, meat galore on the stick gets attention the most.

I voted for the third one as well - I like the clean, simple approach and how it has a more 'intellectual' feel. The second one was also pretty neat, the idea of an ATM in one's living room is rather appealling.

I like the ATM one... made me giggle

Scanning thru, it was the one that made me stop... it had some humor..and made me want to read more.

However, I am a woman, and I DREAM of designing a house AROUND my personal ATM...LOL!

    Nice ads!

I liked #2. To me it says the most with the fewest words. I read the the first sentence, looked at the image and thought it was awesome! It's simple, and its clever. It told me I could make a lot of money working at home.

With the other ads, I had to look a little closer, and read a little to see what was being said.

The bank vault told me there was a lot of money behind it and I could look at it if I had the free ebook.

The chess one, I like. My first impression was that makes me think there is some type of contest involving sneaky people. You can learn to be sneaky too, but steps are involved.

The fish one "looks" cool...but at first look i'd asume it has something to do with an internet Phishing scam. I could look closer to see what the ad is about, but if I am skimming throught the pages, and not interested in looking for protection from a phishing scam, I probably wouldn't look closer to find out that the ad is really offering an ebook about marketing.

    Thumbs up

All these ads look great Nebula but I went with #3 because the copy, message and graphics all come together. The ad gets your attention and I wanted to read more about BigBillions.com. I like the chess theme as well. I've never seen an ad like that in Revenue.

My second choice would be the Got Bait ad with the raw flesh on a hook. There's no question that ad will get your attention.

The other 2 ads look good graphically, however if you have followed Revenue over the years you know that many advertisements have featured graphics with piles of cash and there is not necessarily anything new here for the readers to latch on to.

Most of all I just like the fact that you are using the eWealth forum to get feedback from readers on what qualities get their attention when they are reading Revenue.

    Good job and good luck!

Four of them are good. But I choose # 4 the best. Simple and illustrated well as to what the ad's message is.

Default 3. "Simple competition" for me.

"Simple competition" (Chess): Plain, stands out, simple yet with successful intellectual inferences at the same time.

The subtle theme of being a pawn, then becoming as powerful as a queen in the shadows reminds me of MJs sigs at the moment.

"ATM in living room" has a great humorous hook that sticks in the mind but tends to give overtones of the $7 ATM hype, which could help or hinder depending on the target.

    Well done Neb.

Hey Neb, Great job designing the ads.

I like The "ATM in living room" rendition the best. it stands out enough to catch some attention, and its pretty funny.

the Simple competition ad is pretty cool too, reminds me of that Star Wars Episode 1 poster where young Anakin Skywalker casts a Darth Vader shadow.

They're all cool but i find the "ATM in living room" most aesthetically pleasing.

I wanted to thank you guys for your opinions, I am so glad I posted this poll. It gave me such a good idea of things. We are going to do the ATM one in Revenue. We'll use the others as well for other stuff.

    Thanks again guys

I love the ATM ad, although they are all pretty good, but I agree with Jason in that it says everything without saying anything, and it gets you to read more after the headline. Good job!

I must admit that I was predisposed to be against the ATM ad due to the proliferation of the "Your Own ATM For $10" sigs on eWealth.

That's what tipped the balance for me to prefer Chess to the ATM, but depending on the target market that may not be a disadvantage.

If I were to hazard PPC terminology into the equation I would suggest the ATM could have a higher CTR, but Chess may have a higher conversion rate. The real issue is which would generate more sales with acceptable ROI. Go Neb.

What's next Neb, BigBillions.com Borat garb during Baseball playoffs?

    Nebula,

I like the ATM and Pawn/competition because they're CLEVER.

The ATM is funny-clever and the Pawn is sneakily clever.

Which one do you most want to be perceived as...?

I liked number 3 the most. However, number 2 was also good. Number 3 just didn't do it for me. It looked cool but I wouldn't really take it seriously.
