excellent Melanie, eWealth is changing more and more lives :)

melanied
March 3rd, 2007, 07:41 PM
there were many factors that contributed to the growth of my business, but ewealth absolutely is the main component.

truthfully, even though i've gotten some great information from the boards, information is not the most valuable thing i've gotten from here - that would be an opportunity to glimpse the thought process of highly successful people.

early last summer, i decided to read through every thread on the board in order to get to know the personalities on the board and mentally separate who on here was actually successful and doing it and who was just a surfer/poster. i narrowed it down to a list of about ten people who seemed to have reputations on the board for being successful and well-respected. then i started following those peoples' comments on the board to get a glimpse into how they approached business ventures and what their perspectives were.

the main thing i noticed that was true about them that was VERY different from how i approached things was that they A) trusted their own ideas and B) did not hesitate in implementing them.

when i stopped trying to follow other people's programs and starting emulating the success principal i picked up here of trusting my OWN ideas and trying them, that's when i started making real money.

i know it may seem like an exceedingly obvious thing that i should have known already, haha, but it's a BIG principal i learned, it absolutely changed my life, and ewealth is where i learned it...so THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! :D

oh, i just wanted to add that there is another element that contributed a lot to to my succeeding (relatively) quickly...i never slept. :) from the time i decided i was really going to do this (last april) till the day i was making a living at it, i didn't sleep more than 3 or 4 hours a night, and lots of nights only an hour and a half or two hours. i just worked like a FIEND and wouldn't let myself slow down. maybe that was a crazy way to do it, but i found that i HAD to be that obsessed, it was what drove me.

for instance, one of my goals is to have my debts ALL paid off (including student loans) (not cheap...pepperdine, holla. lol) and buy a bmw 3 series with cash. the car i drive right now is a nissan sentra, and the air conditioning, the cigarette lighter (AKA...cell phone charger :P), cd player, and side mirror are all busted. i have enough money to get them fixed now, but i won't. i don't want it to be too comfortable for me to not have met my goal yet. every time i get in that car, i WANT to hate how hot it is and the fact that i can't listen to cds. i WANT to be embarrassed when people ask what happened to my mirror. i WANT to be uncomfortable until i reach my goal.

i know it sounds crazy, but it works for me. it also kind of makes me laugh to myself when my friends tell me how "lucky" i am to not have to go to a traditional job. :D they have no idea the sacrifices i made to be this "lucky." lol.

Really folks, consider this. I Just got a check from the forum-master here. I quickly took it downstairs and converted it over to quarters, because I needed to do my laundry. In fact, it bought me a wash, dry and a bottle of booze, because doing laundry is f#$%ing boring. Has anyone else cosidered joining the eWealth affiliate program? It has a quicker payout than the folks at CJ! (Thanks forumdude! got my laundry done!):sleazy:
Other than that blurb, my advice about affiliate marketing is:
1)Do what you do best in life...
2)Build a website about #1
3)If anyone is interested in your life at all, they will visit your site. That is where you kick in as an affiliate. Monetize, marketize, and certanly, never write an ebook about it. Most online jackasses make there first mistake by telling everyone else how to "do it".

Hey melanied,

Congrats to you!! Most people outside of our internet community don't believe it is possible and therefore never get out of the rat race. Many people have proved that it is possible, it's just a matter of how bad you want it and what you are willing to do to make it happen.

I love hearing new success stories of people living life on their terms, it never gets old.

You are inspiring to others I'm sure...

I remember that day so well...

It was less than 8 months after I started to get serious out here,
and I have never looked back.

I've gone back - to heckle those that have been afraid to follow
me, that's always a good feeling :0)

I know I out earn my old boss by atleast 150%, that feels soooo good!
(and I'm creeping up steadily behind my brother the Doc - heh, heh)

You keep at it and don't let the negative people get in your ear, it's
not always easy but it can be very rewarding.

let's see, i'm trying to think of how many articles i did (i don't really do that anymore). probably about five or six a week, i'd think.

i'm actually trying to move my business in a new direction that is much more stable...actual sites instead of "mini-sites", list building, developing rapport with my readers, etc. it's really fun!!!!

i LOVE to write, so i think that helps.

What's easier?

Doing SEO for 1 site or for 10 sites?
Think of the backlinks you need. You have to do ten times the work.
And which sites would rather get good backlinks? A mini site or a big site?

melanied
May 17th, 2007, 05:23 PM
yeah, i wasn't using search engine traffic, so seo wasn't my main concern - but, yeah, that's why i am moving toward bigger, more self-sustaining sites. because i want to build momentum.

and am very glad this is the first thread I read on your site. It brings comfort to my soul. I have been looking around for the "how to's" and spending more money than it is apparently worth. My feelings are grasping this forum thing because I am now around the folks that know what it takes to make the internet work.

I purchased two internet sites and have no idea what to do with them. Have been reading about e-books, affiliate sites, Google this, Google that, and realize that this is a university and the best university I'll ever attend. :punish: No pain, no gain!

I have a couple of ideas for e-books based on my search for employment (old ways of doing things) habit and it looked to me that even though I may have opted out of accepting the work (9 2 5) doesn't mean that there are not others that would gladly accept $1000 - $2000 per week with the proper guidance/information. Question one: what's a good source for writing an e-book? Question two: should I consider establishing myself in the Google campaign or the like, before vernturing into a time consuming book?

I'm leaning towards question two or something equivalent to a small stream or brook of flowing money that is easily tapped into in order to buy me time to write the ebooks.

You must have done very well in your online business to decide to quit your regular job.

In your post, you didn't say what was it that you did that succeeded so well.

Therefore I went to your website to see what you offer.

Online business is no longer as easy and profitable as it used to be 3-5 yrs ago.

Therefore to succeed so much that you had to quit your job is a big achievement.

Hi there Reina,
Gee I'm really encouraged and want to thank you for your honesty, you see a lot of people in the world today, don't even know that you might be blind, but you have special Giftings from God.

And He will use those Gifting to benifit both you and Himself, and the world will be a better place, because of Your sacrificial love to share from your heart.
I want to take this opportunity, to say thank you Ewealth, for such a great place you have made available, for every one no matter what Race or Creed, and always remember Folks as my dear old Dad said when i was young and a bit ratical he said no matter what colour people are there are two things in their lives that cannot be changed.

Their Blood is still Red like your's, and each one has a Finger Print that no one else has the same. Wow thats true, and we are all unique.
So God Bless you Reina, for shareing. you are an:angel:

Great for You! You are my inspiration. I just got started this week with clickbank. I have tried before and have given up whenever I got discouraged. But I am going to stick with it this time. I have read many success stories here on EWealth and the most important thing I have learned is that it takes time, patience and hard work.
Good luck to you!

Hi melanied, I see it's well over a year since you quit your job and started this thread. Perhaps you'd like to tell us more about what you've been up to since then?

It's 10 years since I quit my job. I remember driving to work and grumbling to my wife, "I don't have time for this. I've got better things to do!"

One day, instead of going to my desk at work I just kept on walking and walked right into my boss's office. I'll never forget the look of surprise on her face when I told her I didn't have time for her job any more. :)

If any of you are getting close to quitting, just picture yourself sacking your boss. Boy, it feels good. Like a huge weight has been lifted from your shoulders.

My business took off like a rocket immediately after I quit my job. I could suddenly focus all my attention on doing things that built MY business, instead of spending most of my waking hours thinking about how I could help a big corporation.

It's so great to have freedom! I'm headed up to Napa tomorrow, and Tahoe for a week next month.

In addition to my own personal business, I also have a couple of deals going separately with my business partner that have to do with the music industry and promotion.

Basically, life is awesome. :D

One of the best keys to actually making some profit online for me was being able to stay focused on my daily goals. With so many links and site surfing all day long it's soooooo easy to get a 2 hour distraction and waste your day away...

there were many factors that contributed to the growth of my business, but ewealth absolutely is the main component.

truthfully, even though i've gotten some great information from the boards, information is not the most valuable thing i've gotten from here - that would be an opportunity to glimpse the thought process of highly successful people.

early last summer, i decided to read through every thread on the board in order to get to know the personalities on the board and mentally separate who on here was actually successful and doing it and who was just a surfer/poster. i narrowed it down to a list of about ten people who seemed to have reputations on the board for being successful and well-respected. then i started following those peoples' comments on the board to get a glimpse into how they approached business ventures and what their perspectives were.

the main thing i noticed that was true about them that was VERY different from how i approached things was that they A) trusted their own ideas and B) did not hesitate in implementing them.

when i stopped trying to follow other people's programs and starting emulating the success principal i picked up here of trusting my OWN ideas and trying them, that's when i started making real money.

i know it may seem like an exceedingly obvious thing that i should have known already, haha, but it's a BIG principal i learned, it absolutely changed my life, and ewealth is where i learned it...so THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! :D

Hello Melanied, Congratulations!

Your an inspiration for me to work harder on building my business empire so that sometime time in the near future I could definitely follow your success footprints.

Hope you could be a mentor for us newbies and be kind to guide us in every way.

How I wish you help me know the persons you've mentioned, her in ewealth that have a great role in your success standing!

I'm very happy to hear that another person quit his J.O.B and joined the internet marketing community :) U know I did the same thing I quit my job and then after a while someone called me from another company offering me an even bigger salary telling me that some people reccomended me. They called me I think 4 times  and do u know what I did? I refused the well paid job cause I knew that in that same amount of time that I would have spent working for others I could have earned 10 times or even 100 times more money :). Yes, designing my sites is one of my favorite parts of creating niche websites. :) It's really fun.

And I saw a few more people ask how I did it, and it's a combination of niche websites and list building. I also have some offline ventures that contribute to my income, as well.

Hey, everybody. :)

So, here's a new update to what I'm up to. I've actually moved into SEO and Social Media Consulting, mostly for entertainment industry clients. It's *REALLY* fun!

There are drawbacks - I don't have the complete and total freedom I had when I was just doing niche marketing (although my sites do still bring in money, they're not my focus anymore). However, on the upside, it's really fun getting to go to industry parties and getting taken on free trips and meeting famous people. :D

I think I'm gonna ride this train for a while. LOL

I do love my full time job as well. With my online marketing and my full time job, I'm earning well over $140,000 a year. So it's still hard to give up my full time job. I'm hoping to earn that by year end all w/ my part time work online.

Hi Guys,i decided to read through every thread on the board in order to get to know the personalities on the board and mentally separate who on here was actually successful and doing it and who was just a surfer/poster. i narrowed it down to a list of about ten people who seemed to have reputations on the board for being successful and well-respected.

Thanks & Regards

This is a great encouraging story to all of us that are still new and we are trying to leave our jobs and do this full time. It's also a great reminder that hard work does payoff! In one of your replies you mentioned that you only slept few hours per day to be able to achieve your goals, I respect hard working people and most importantly it make me really happy :) to see them achieve their goals! If you don't mind, give us an update on how you are doing now with your business. :)

That's awesome Melanie. I remember my last day at my job - it was exciting but also nerve wrecking because I knew I was on my own and my income depended on me. Just stay on top of everything and keep on working even if you ate making a killing.

I was dumb and got lazy after making 15-20k a month - stopped working for a good 2 years and it Hurt me. Learn from me and keep on working no matter what!
