i have inspected over 8000 ClickBank sites in the last year or so while putting my ClickBank watchdog site together. what i learned about the good, the bad, and the ugly of ClickBank vendor marketing i have summarized in the following article. vendors, get out your pencils and take notes.

You have many great points in your article but I strongly disagree with #3 & #4:
"Brother, if this is great sales copy, it surely is not original"
No, it's not original, it is however very effective, used time & time again, based on psychological triggers e.g. who else... = social proof...only x copies left = scarcity.
When I first started promoting clickbank products, I too, thought the same, but after buying and researching many resources on copywriting, it's plainly obvious why a lot of sales letter seem similar...tried & tested - no need to re-invent the wheel.
As for point #4, great copy pasted on a white background with black font, will outsell any "professional" looking page with poor copy. The right mix, however, can and will do wonders for a site.
Other than, it's good stuff.
And btw...your testimonial S/W looks quite interesting, how's that working out for you?

i'm glad you disagree with some of it (though i don't think you really said anything truly counterpoint to what i think is true). maybe it will inspire some vendors to read the list and improve their sites some.
Red Queen, my customer review software is coming along. although not too many customers, as it's a high end product.
