I think this will definitely have a positive effect on our sales; I don't know how significant the effect will be, though.
I figure it this way: if people go to buy a clickbank product, and they are ALREADY a paypal user (and of course, they most likely TRUST paypal), then they will trust clickbank more, and therefor be more likely to purchase something.
This is all just in theory of course :)

Hmm, with the amount of fraud that is going through Paypal, I would rather settle for credit cards only, online checking and Paypal suck.

I am sure paypal will bring new problems, but also it will increase sign ups for sure, people trust paypal. It will be interesting to see how it affects the sign ups. Also I am guessing paypal will have to approve your site before you process with them through Click Bank, I am not sure how it works.

yeah I was wondering about the same thing, because paypal is pretty strict and does not process for certain types of websites

I'm pretty sure that paypal's policies are about in-line with Clickbank's. A lot of people would trust paypal more, I wouldn't, but many would. Also, you would have to wonder if some merchants would prefer doing their own paypal processing (2.9% + $0.30) rather than using clickbank as a middleman (7.5% + $1.00), the only tradeoff being that you would need to manage your own affiliate program? Just a thought, because what would be the advantage really? The only advantage of a PayPal/ClickBank partnership in my eyes would be the ability for merchants and affiliates to get their paychecks deposited to PayPal instead of waiting for a check. Now that, that would be a nice feature. :)

Doesn't clickbank offer direct deposit though? why bother having them deposit your paycheck into paypal; you would LOSE like 2.20% of your money or so that way due to the fee's of receiving money through paypal.
Also, I don't think many affiliate vendors would ditch clickbank and start thier own affilate program; they would get ALOT less affiliates; I'm sure most come from clickbank. And on top of that, any affilates that come from CB are free traffic/affiliates. I could be wrong though, I dunno.
