1) Q. How long have you been involved in the online business?
I have been involved in Internet Marketing since 2001 but have only been making a full time living with this biz since 2004.
2) Q. What was your background before you became an online entrepreneur?
I graduated high school and attended some college but never really had the chance to complete college.
3) Q. How did you decide to start earn living online?
Working long and stressful hours at a local bar got me curious on what other types of things I could do on “the side” to generate more income. Anyways, I went online and started exploring various ways to make a few bucks on the internet. Most of the things that I read all had to do with eBay and affiliate marketing so I decided to venture both. The eBay thing worked okay but affiliate marketing worked out much better and eventually gave me the opportunity to finally “fire my boss”.
3) Q. Did you have any mentors or partners?
Nope and nope.
4) Q. What website(s) do you operate?
I have a variety of different web sites. I operate a couple of web forums that are themed towards different niche markets. One of the forums is DetectiveForums.com which is a forum about how to access various types of public records and also how to perform background checks, etc. I also have owned about 15 ClickBank products (some don’t exist anymore). The two latest websites that I just came out with are www.CameraDollars.com and www.EasyWritingBiz.com which both are slowly climbing the ClickBank rankings so everyone will soon be more familiar with both of them. Other types of websites that I own are all landing page type websites and AdSense related websites.
5) Q. What changes have you noticed in the online business since you became involved?
The biggest change has to be the changes that Google made to both their AdWords program and their search algorithm.
6) Q. What changes do you see facing the online business in the future, especially ClickBank?
I think that it is going to be a lot harder for affiliates to continue to be successful with AdWords and ClickBank over the next few years just because of all the AdWords changes that I have witnessed. Of course it still will be incredibly profitable for some but I think Google is going to make us work a lot more. Who knows about ClickBank…. they’re unpredictable.
The one thing I have learned over the past few years is that if you want to become a successful internet marketer you need to accept the fact that the internet is going to change drastically over the next 10 years. IMHO, if you don’t know how to adapt to these changes you will get crushed down the road.
7) Q. I understand you have some exciting projects in the works. I'm sure you don't want to give too much away at this point, but could you give our readers a little teaser on what's to come?
There are a few products that I am about to launch. One of them is going to be a ClickBank product and will be announced in the ewealth program announcement section within a few weeks. I think this product is going to get a lot of attention and you’ll know why when I tell you all about it.
8) Q. For a newbie affiliate marketer, what advise can you give?
Never give up, start out slow, and don’t be afraid to venture new things. When I first started advertising with AdWords I was extremely nervous. My first day I spent only about $15.00 (a lot at the time) on AdWords and didn’t see any return so I immediately freaked out and paused all of my campaigns. Good thing someone came back and finally bought the product two days later because if they wouldn’t have – I probably would still be working at my day job.
9) Q. What do you think are the most important aspects to building a successful product/website?
I think it really depends on the niche and type of product you are dealing with.
10) Q. How do you see the future of affiliate marketing?
I think the future is going to be awesome. Affiliate marketing is developing into the back-bone of the majority of internet businesses. Without affiliates many online businesses that have become successful over the years wouldn’t be nearly as successful as they are today.
11) Q. When people ask you what do you do, what do you answer?
I hate when people ask me that question! I usually try and change the subject because nobody gets the concept. Now I just tell people that I make money with Google.
12) Q. What useful e-books would you recommend for newbies getting into affiliate marketing?
I haven’t bought many eBooks but out of the few that I have bought and read I would recommend Google Cash and the Butterfly Marketing Manuscript by Mike Filsaime.
13) Q. Do you think ColinSick and BoogalooDude will become buddies one day?
No. Nebula’s movie pretty much summed that up. lol
14) Q. Do you think there should be a ewealth convention sometime within the next few years?
Yes. Vegas baby…
Stay tuned :)
