Let me share an experience with you:

Every week or so, I surf through the new clickbank products and promotions that make their way upward. I click on them, read their copy, and check out their affiliate page...

And it seems that nearly every single affilaite resource page gives resources for "free traffic" sources... and I just have to ask, do these really work?

Affiliate marketing is getting bigger and bigger, many top niches have hit saturation points (data entry), and it's hard to believe that a huge inefficency could exist in the free traffic world.

Who is with me? Can free traffic be laid to rest? Or will someone come set me straight?

I wouldn't turn my nose up at using free traffic sources to get sales..

Dont expect a flood of traffic from it, but you will get traffic, and sales, even after you've forgotten you ever placed that ad...

Yes, there are lots of affiliates using free resources, you just have to write it better than they did..

Also... it depends on what you are selling... things like classifed ads ,etc, do show up in search listings.. if your ad gets listed and some guy looking for a way to get rid of toenail fungus finds your listing for a book on the subject...hey it happens.

Sorry if that's what it seemed like... I'm just trying to learn more about it... heck, if people say it's a viable marketing medium, I'm sure I'll be on board posting classified and plastering free ads... but internet marketing is my day job, and I want to see how other people have fared.

Believe me, I'm the LAST person who will turn up their nose to a way to get some sales with no advertising costs... with the dynamic duo of Overture and Google taking nice 5-figure monthly checks... I'm all about some free traffic!
