I have read that Yahoo produces better results than Adwords. Has anyone had luck with Yahoo?

Me! I love to hate yahoo  They drive me crazy sometimes, but I get most of my sales from yahoo, and I get them really cheap.
There are some annoyances.. delayed stats, edited ads, waiting for approval etc. And the pages load r-e-a-l-l-y s-l-o-w-l-y.. but the average sales costs me 40 cents.. so I put up with it
They don't have a display url though.. it's whatever url you use for the destination, so if you use a hoplink, try an ID that just looks like it has something to do with the product.. or a general "good" term.

What I am doing as far as the affiliate url, is to forward and mask it with another domain. This is suspose to help with commission theft.

Depends.
Most people choose Google over Yahoo because once you "Master It" you could become quite wealthy and fast. I know of 2 people who completely dropped all of their Yahoo Campaigns in Favour of Google.
They became Millionaires within one year after switching.
Of course the Key to doing this is mastering Google. You should read Perry Marshall's website: http://www.perrymarshall.com/
Mention the word Yahoo around him and prepare yourself for an earful. He is my mentor as well as many others. Read his site and also read up on his personal success story.
Additionally, Yahoo's PPC costs are out to lunch. Top Bid in some Markets to get into the Number 1 spot are as high as $75 US Dollars per click. If you learn Google, same click would cost you less than $1 Buck.
Decide for yourself.
Best of Luck.

Overture gives only a fraction of the traffic of adwords.
For some reason the conversion rate on my overture campaigns took a fatal dive at the start of this month, all except 1 campaign which is instead on fire. I really hope their new look shakes things up (for the better).

Our Yahoo conversion rate is always about 40% over Google's. I think that's because 50% of Google's partners a junk yard sites whereas Yahoo owns a lot of its own content.

Google works way better for me. I suppose it all depends on what you are promoting.
Mastering Google will make you a Millionaire. I know of 2 people who completely quit Yahoo SM in favour of Google and they both became Millionaires within 1 year. The trick was to "Master It".
Decide for yourself.

Yahoo is a real pain to use. It is very tedious to create a separate ad for each and every keyword. Yahoo requires landing pages in their TOS - so if you want to link directly to a merchant - your chances are slim and none. Yahoo must approve every keyword individually and more often than not they will disapprove a majority of your Google Converting Keywords. If you try to get too many keywords approved at once, Yahoo will time out in the middle of you submitting your individual keyword ads and you will lose all of your work - so you have to learn to submit keywords to yahoo in small groups to protect yourself from wasting your time.
On the other hand, if you learn to master Yahoo, you will make a better ROI than you make on Google. The advantage of writing really good separate ads for each keyword give you higher clickthrough rates. There is less quality competition on yahoo because of the cumbersome and frustrating nature of their system. Yahoo makes you put up a deposit and collects your money in advance of any click activity.
Yahoo is about to roll out a new system that is supposed to keep the best features of the Yahoo system while getting rid of the tedious nonsense. But its not out yet, and time will tell if it lives up to its expectations.
The main reason to use Yahoo & MSN is that it is a balance against keeping all of you eggs in one basket with Google. Plus Google has it's own agenda, and oftentimes Google's self-serving agenda will stop your good campaigns in their tracks. :)

Ive never even bothered trying yahoo due to it's waiting period, rejection of aff. links and it's obsolete ppc forumla that does not reward relevance.
