I felt the same way about non-ppc marketing. I was making money, but not enough to feel it was worth my time and efforts. I made enouhg to get started with PPC and i'm never looking back!

Never was able to figure out how to use leads emails.

lets say i am promoting a movie downloads site(just an example)
what kind of emails can i be sending to my leads?
same applies to Mp3,psp,software,investigative etc...

Many people make lots of money without PPC. If you know SEO & can get lots of articles written then you can make money. It just takes a while to see results. People use PPC because its instant targeted traffic.

People use PPC for a couple of reasons, one is that it's instant gratification. You start a campaign and, if Google Adwords is to be believed, start seeing traffic 15 minutes later. Another reason is that there's an awful lot of ebooks and information on how to get rich using PPC and Clickbank. I did use Adwords for a while and made a little money but found it was too much like working for a living.

You can use free methods just as effectively but it takes a lot longer to see a return. It took me almost 2 years before I started to make enough to match my salary in my last full-time job as a middle-manager.

The big advantage of SEO type marketing is that it continues to bring in income without having to worry about Adwords competition. Now I can just sit back and enjoy the fruits of my earlier efforts.

Agreed. It's nice to see the traffic and sales arriving as a result of pages created years ago. Every thing I create on the web, whether it's an article or tool, I make it for the long haul. It's like planting seeds. Keep planting seeds.
