Question about Articles

ok i made an article and it shows up on google on the 4th spot 1st page if you type in How To Remove Acne Fast. But if you click it, it doesnt directly go to my article just to the article website. What am i doing wrong?

how long has it been since you wrote it?

sometimes it takes a while for the actually article to be posted on google

its been about 4-5 days but i was so happy when i saw me on 4th spot 1st page than when i click it, it doesnt even go to my article :frustrate

Hello!

The reason the link points to my site's main page is because when an article is first submitted, an excerpt happens to show up on the front page, until it is replaced by newer submissions. The frontpage must have been crawled while the excerpt from your article was visible on it.

At any rate, checking my logs, the article was only submitted five days ago. It will show up on Google soon, and I have no doubt that it will rank well when it does.

You know - you may be right.

When I started the site, I wasn't expecting it to do well. Or at least, I was not expecting the kind of results I am having.

I started it to kind of take on the established articlesites out there (mainly EzineArticles and GoArticles), apply some of the SEO tricks I've learned etc., more as a personal exercise than something I expected to have great results with.

Well, I am happy to say that the traffic has been skyrocketing this week - I suspect Google has let me out of the sandbox early, as google traffic increased by about 15-20x in the last four days. Plus, I am seeing some *amazing* search result placements on Google - articles posted on the site are making some top rankings, against some very stiff competition.

It brings a lot of pleasure to me to see a set of SERPS where an article on my site is topping an article on EzineArticles or one of the other major competitors...

At any rate, I have heard from some of my authors that they have been making some sales via the articles they have posted to my site - this seems to confirm to me that article marketing really does work. Perhaps in my spare time, I should start writing some articles for my own site - I'd probably make more money off the site that way ;)

ill be making more articles when i get done with sum other things im busy with school and stuff. but alotta times i brain storm and make rough copy's of articles in class than ill probably type them all up in 1 day. I really like this site though helped me alot, you dont see people helping u get money for free everyday...

lol - watching the success of people who use my site makes me think I really should start writing articles of my own to submit to the site... I have two or three up there, but they really don't rank for anything. Of course, they were dupes when I submitted them, so that doesn't help!

One small tip - if you want to make your article rank a little better, write a quick blog post about it if you have a blog - this will increase the number of links pointing to your specific article. This will increase it's value in the eyes of Google a bit more, as well as it may lead to quicker indexing by Google.

Please note, I am not just saying this because it will create more deep links to my site - it really will help your articles rank well!
