Hang in there and keep at it. One month is not very long at all. It can take much longer, especially if you have a larger learning curve.

Remember, the biggest mistake new affiliates make is they give up. Stick through this and you'll be good to go!:)

In my opinion it will take you about a year to get rolling good unless you have buckets of money to throw at this. Keep reading everything you can. When I first started I would come home and go right to the computer and starting reading as much as I could until bed time. Don't just read it though, apply it to what you are doing.

Hang in there as mentioned. I don't really use adwords much I am still trying to tweak some things with that I just found out I have been doing it all wrong after reading google adwords made easy (http://cb-top.com/t.cgi?i=csm27&cid=199) which btw is free so please download it it may also help you as well.
In the last month in a half I was doing well but so far this month my sales on one product that was doing well has slowed down. But as mention I usually don't use adwords much. good luck

Whatever you do don't quit...Learn from any mistakes and it will pay off..Try another product to promote, you'll get it as long as you don't quit...Good Luck :)

5 or 6 years ago you probably would be doing OK after 1 month. But this business is extremely competitve now and things change very fast. Learn all you can. Participate in forums. Look at how others are marketing similar products. Examine their websites.
I started out posting to FFA and classified ad sites and was making $1000 a month with zero costs. That didn't last long though, but I was hooked.
Don't just concentrate on Clickbank and Adwords. Look at other affiliate networks and marketing methods, also.

Keep plugging away and make sure you research your markets to find out what people really want within those markets.
I"m a newbie too....I had a breakthrough yesterday of $126 in clickbank commissions while spending $25 in advertising to get those commissions. :shoot:

I've read a few E-books lately including Beating Adwords, Adwords 123 and, Perry Marshall's Definitive Guide To adwords.
Honestly, I dont see why everyone is recommending Beating Adwords. It only describes the absolute basics to starting up a campaign, and offers very little in teh way of tips and tricks. It doesn't really teach you much of a system, it moreso just gets you started. It'd be good for a complete newbie.
Adwords 123 is what I learned the most from... There are Hundreds of very useful and effective tips and strategies in this book, and it also explains teh absolute basics for newbies. It also gets you started making money by showing you step by step how to setup your campaign properly, explaining every little detail.
And Perry Marshall's book is also absolutely incredible, but much longer and takes a bit of dedication to finish. IT's almost too much info for a newbie, but the info is great.

I can't really comment on the ebooks other than Beating Adwords, but I do know that it teaches everything you need to know to set up a successful adwords campaign.
The only thing it doesn't go in depth about is market research...but I'm very glad I bought it...I'm getting more confident in my Adwords abilities as I continually see money in my CB account every day.

i have nothign against Beating Adwords, and I can see how you'd learn a fair bit from it, i just personally was expecting much more after reading all the hype about it. still a decent book though.

Yes one month is not long at all,
Your main goal should be to heavly research your markets prior to throwning money at them. If you are making that's all the better.
My experience has been that you can get much better click through rates using very target kw phrases. If you are targeting the solution vs the problem then conversions will rise as well.
Are you direct linking? or landing page?
