I got an idea for creating ad keywords analyzer type of software. It would be able to accept results from any search engine as long as a plugin for the search engine is available ... meaning it's extendable on-the-fly without having to wait for a new release of the software to support changes in search engines or to get support for new search engines. It would display all the relevant information from search engines, directories, and other keyword-tool sites (like Overture) in an easy-to-use GUI. It's going to be strictly useful tool software for online marketers, and won't help them in writing their own ads or building their own keywords (I think the brains of the operation should be left up to the marketer to avoid "trash" ads).
I'm thinking of selling the software as a $1/month subscription based service from my website.
What do you guys think of the idea? I know they are existing softwares that do similar things, so I'd like your inputs on what kind of features you would like to see in this software, and point out what you consider shortcomings of the existing ones. Also, do you have any other softwares in mind that could be useful to marketers and be sold in this manner from my website? :)
