What should I do with this site?

I get thousands of visitors each day at www.50birds.com

Just got rid of most banners as I've heard text links are better. I've been looking around some of the threads and I see a lot of you have a lot of experience. I would appreciate your advice

Congrats on the traffic you're receiving to your site. To monetize the traffic to your site you might want to try serving Google ads on your site through Google Adsense. Adsense will serve Google ads on your site relevant to the content on your site. I didn't see much content on your site so if you do decide to go with serving Google ads then you should probably add some relevant content. Maybe just put it on the bottom below the pictures.

You've got the traffic already and that's the hard part.
