Well, I've been promoting the "satellite tv for pc" product on ClickBank for about a month, and I've got two sales, one each from a couple of marketing campaigns that cost me $15/each. The sales I made paid me $33.90 each, but both are PayPal...one from Malaysia another from US. I buy a 2000 clicks textad on paidtoclick.com, and it seems that for every 2000 clicks I've gotten one sale. Or maybe its just a fluke?

So I'm wondering, where do I go from here? How should I expand my marketing? Bum marketing any good? I tried looking at products, but couldn't find a good one that I wrap an article around :( .

And an idea I just had...how feasible is it to make software that displays embedded textads...like in a status-bar type area? Here are some ideas I had for such a software:
Chat client (IRC/MSN?)
Security/encryption software
Scheduler/Organizer

And also an idea for a web-service that allows people to send verified/certified emails...trackable ones, one-time self-destructing messages, password encoded messages, or an email that requests that the reader select one or more options. The status (or statistics) of the emails are visible to the sender. People would pay to send emails through the service. Maybe a longshot eh...

I'm just brainstorming here. Tell me what y'all think :D

I dont have alot of advice except for the irc/msn client one. Don't do it unless you want to give it out for free. People bypass and crack those clients all the time so it would be hard to make money by them.

hmmm the email deal sounds good, but not sure if people will pay for it though.

Just my 4 cents :innocent:

Oh, yes, I did forget to mention: those softwares (if I make them) would be available for free. I'd make money by selling the ad space on them...or by putting my own ads as an affiliate marketer.

I remember back when i did Visual BAsic Programming, i'd embed IE6 into my programs, and that would enable me to link program users to whatever website i want... so it woudl be very simple to put a clickable banner ad or even text ad.

Did that technique get you any money?

well actually... i wasn't into marketing at the time, so no... it was more like a school project, lol... but i'm sure it would if your software does what it's supposed to do.

Well, you've been around in marketing a lot longer than I have...

Do you have any tips on what kind of software would be the best?
