hi, i wanna know whats the difference between buying an old domain and a new domain...

what im thinking is that it has something to do with being indexed by google, like
an old domain will get hits/traffic more quicker than with a new domain, or is it a old site gets indexed quicker than a new site, ok i'm sorta confused a site is the domain with content already in it right ? clarify please....

oooo, i have another question , i have an idea to promote a product, but the place where i'm promoting it i can't use the hidewindowstatus code and tinyurls might not be deemed as spam link there, does the old clickbank link format still work to send links to i.e hxxp:/www.producturl.com/?hop=affiliateid as opposed to hxxp:/affiliateid.vendorid.hop.clickbank.net, i'm not sure if i heard its not standard or wont be credited or something like that.

We did a story on domain aging at http://www.entrepreneuradvisory.org/A-DomainSecrets.html that discusses the pros and cons of both. Also, a four-parter on snatching aged, but expired or expiring domain names. (http://www.entrepreneuradvisory.org/ArticlesIndexDomains.html) One good reason being that, if the site isn't frowned upon by the search engines, and is still in their indices, you don't have to endure the sandbox delay which can be a killer to battle.

Maybe you'll find something helpful in there...
