Well, I said newbie but that's not really true. New to this type of thing but have been doing adult a LONG time! I have been reading the posts and see there are other adult webmasters here also. Now if only I understood this as well as doing adult but this has been hard so far. An old friend of mine from adult told me about clickbank and how well he was doing so I wanted to give it a try. To be honest I want out of adult and have for a long time.
You guys give advice to each other and that is something you don't see much of in the adult industry on the boards at least. I think its great to see people helping each other.
My biggest problem with this seems to be in trying out anything. The sites here seem to be so popular that when you bid at adwords my words won't show because someone else is higher then I am with the same url. I'm not sure how to solve this problem other than buying a domain. Any suggestions on this? Also, before anyone says raise your bids I have tried that.
Anyway, I hope to be here a long time (if I can make at least half of what I do in adult)

Welcome aboard :)
You should try bidding on other words :)
Adult seems easier then this doesnt it? even though technically I think this is far easier, its just what your used to, once this clicks like adult does to you, it will be super easy.

Wanderlust.........welcome to eWealth.
I agree that adult is many times an easier sell. The key is finding something that works and then building on that success. Best of luck.

I think mainstream has much more opportunities than adult. The market is much bigger and you can use PPC for mainstream, unlike adult where getting a sale becomes harder every day. Click Bank sites are easy to convert and you get decent amount of money.
And welcome to ewealth :)

Thanks for the welcome.
Adult might be easier for me since I've done it for 6 years this month. I just hate it! It might be because I'm female though lol... I swear sometimes that every penis and vagina (polite terms) look alike, shaved, hairy, young, old....... whatever its all the same to me. I can't say I'm not making money because I am making more now in adult then I ever have. BUT - when you hate to do something it makes it a chore. Not everyone likes to go out to work everyday so in that way I am very fortunate.
Anyway, I have been playing with adwords for a little over a month now and I haven't lost any money. Haven't made any either though :) I have bought ebooks, perry marshall etc.
Oh, and btw Jeff I am buying a domain for the site. Seems easier then trying to find other keywords.

Buy a domain "and" pick some better keywords. Be really careful with adwords, you can lose your ass really quick. Same as adult get as targeted as possible. Less "more targeted" traffic is better then expensive un-targeted. Also while overture is "A PAIN IN THE ASS" it runs about 1/4 the price of adwords. Sometimes a lot less the 1/4.
Also Welcome to Ewealth. :)

Thanks Guys!
Bought a domain and google says no to it! So I guess I'll make it a review site and add some other places to it. Maybe google will like it then. I am getting frustrated though. Anyone want to start in the adult biz in trade for helping me hehe :)

Wanderlust,
You do not need a domain to start promoting Click Bank sites. Just need the linking codes, some good and catchy headlines on google and good, targetted keywords.

jeff I Icq'd ya to add me. my icq is 40648658. BTW I have a different name on it. I'm not online much at night, I have to get out sometimes!!
Nicky, thanks :)
I know you don't need a domain but the problem is that the site I am promoting has the #1 spot on all the keywords on google. So anyone else using that site url won't be seen.
-->Your ad shares a similar Display URL with a competing, higher ranking ad.
So unless I bid on other keywords, there isn't much sense in me promoting the site. Trying to outbid them will take me broke.
