First I would get some bargin hosting instead of free. http://g-hosting.net/ is $15.00/year. There are many deals out there. It's hard to tell what's yours and what's tripod.

Blog and ping is a good way to get indexed. Your not very likely to get anyone to link to a free hosted site. Don't get me wrong they are good to play around with and learn. But to many webmaster have been burned by freesites. As far a content based sites blogs do much better then static sites for quick listings. Also there is a huge resource of blog directories that will list free blogs. Make it more personal then switch to a more product related blog. Bait and switch. :innocent: Hope that helps a little.

It just takes some practice, just don't get frustrated. You have to keep at it.

I plan to build a site similier to infocart.tripod.com in the future based around internet marketing, when i build the internet marketing website il probly use a paid host with domain names. I like my free websites though google can still pick them up. :)

I was wondering if it makes a difference wheather you put a link from your blog to your site map, or a link from your blog to your home page. I know its better to get another site to link to your site map rather than your home page, but does it make a difference on your own blogs?

it never hurts if it's a different site/blog.
