View Full Version : Need Help Moving my Forum

Here's the thing.......I have a forum on my website www.ez2workathome.com and I am changing to a different host......I have someone that is going to be moving everything over, but he told me that he could move it, but I would lose all my members and all the post....I am going from V-deck control panel to Cpanel if that helps.......

Is there a way that the forum can be moved without losing my members and all the post.......

I hope there is a way to move it and keep all my info intact......I hate to lose the members and the post.

Yeah, just backup and move your MySQL database. I moved one of my forums before while keeping everything intact, it can be done.

I can't see any problem moving it to cPanel without losing anything. Maybe there's a MySQL versioning conflict that I'm not aware of but I'd be surprised.

exactly, what did you mean when you said "good" to this post? "good" that I'm having trouble moving it, or "good" like your glad I am changing to a different host.....

Any luck with that? You should be able to get a copy of your mysql database and load it up on the new host. Shouldn't be a problem.

With mysql data base i don't think you will have any problem of losing any data here
