Hey lev
As you are aware since the courtrecords.org changes several weeks ago my sales died in the arse. However today they have come back to life. I noticed the teaser search isn't there yet but have you made any other changes?
Thanks
jim

I also had an unusally high number of sales in courtrecords yesterday, but I don't think it's anything to get too excited about - just usual fluctuations. :)

The sales for courtrecords.org were always strong and yes, yesterday was exceptionally good day. We are almost there with the "teaser search", we are setting up the servers, which is not easy since we have over 220 million records. Maximum, another 10 days and I think it will be ready :)

Thanks for the update, Lev. Needless to say, we're all eager to get back to (and hopefully exceed) those pre-5/30 sales levels. :)
Question, do you plan to roll the teaser search out on all sites at once, or just a few initially?

We will probably start out with a few sites, see how it goes and then implement it to all of them

Once your teaser searches are up, I think I will start promoting your sites a little more aggressively - they are clean, and look like they will convert well!

I did not see any difference in sales actually
In your case, Brain, it might be because of fluctuation or the new sales page, but I did not see a big difference in sales for procash and spyprofits sites because of this change

Regarding the "teaser" search, we are currently uploading the data, currently we uploaded about 11,000,000 records so far. The data is awesome, it has full names, addresses, states, cities, phone numbers, age, income, properties, marital status and more. So, a little bit more patience and we will be done :)

for sure Brain, previously we had a message that said, "records found", which was not very assuring to the consumers, but now it will actually display real results on that person with his/her age. So, I have no doubt this will not only bring us back to the previous conversions, but also improve them, so we will see :)

I think it is the particular niche I am advertising to Lev.
They liked the old search but not the current one. Ever since the changes I average one sale a day whereas I was doing about 5. So I am REALLY looking forward to the new teaser.

We have over 250 million records, so 99% of the time the person will find at least one data on him/her :)
rainmaker
August 4th, 2006, 04:38 AM
But are the records going to be updated on a regular basis? I read somewhere that on average something like 35% of people change either their address or phone number every 6 months. So as each day passes the results will be less and less accurate, and sales would probably start going down again. Or do you have some type of data subscription from one of those big sites where it'll be updated regularly? That would rock!

Lev, this is good news indeed! What will the visitor see in those instances where the data is not found?
Even for that 1%, I hope it doesn't say "no records found" or something similar. Is it possible to show them the current results page in those instances?

I do not yet know how it will work, but I am sure we will come up with a way so we don't loose that 1%.
Regarding updates, yes, the data will be updated every 6 months or so.

Will it be more than 200% (doubled)?

Those sales are peanuts!
I just finished taking a screenshot of my Clickbank Account.
Have a look:
http://www.cbstatz.com/webpics/cbstats.jpg
The last Pay Period wasn't that great. But it has picked up nicely this Pay Period!!
There were some days during this Pay Period where the sales were low, but I have an explanation for them.
On July 27th, if Clickbank wasn't screwing me around, I would have had an awesome day!
On August 1st, Someone was hijacking some of my links.
On August 3rd, most of my Google clicks were fraudulent.
On August 6th, Lev must have been screwing around with all of his sites which cost me lots of sales!

If it's real I'll shoot my foot online :shoot:

And Jim, yea.. I use PPC only.
As for now I spend about 200 USD/day.

are those stats for real, qualitygoods?
I only wish!
It was a nice edit job. I made the numbers to be extremely high so that it would be obvious that it wasn't for real.
It was actually a lot of work.
First of all, I was logged into one of my Clickbank Accounts. Then I did a right-click, Save Page as .... Web Page only. This saved it as an HTML Web Page. Then I loaded it into Dreamweaver. The first thing that I did was change the last Pay Period numbers to show that I had close to 6 Million in sales. Then I changed the numbers for every single day, making sure that I had some days with some extreme fluctuations and some days that were unusually high. Then I added up all of the days between August 1st to August 9th to get the Current Pay Period totals. Then I changed the Current Pay Period number to reflect that. Now the length of the bars were out of whack. So, I took the biggest day (the one over 1 Million) and made it a length of 200. Then for each day, I would take the days number and divide it by the million dollar day number. Then I would multiply that by 200. That would give me the length of the bar that I needed for that day. I did that for every single day. Then I properly spaced the numbers so that the beginning of the bars lined up, the decimals, etc. I had to edit the CSS Styles link to point to the Clickbank.com site. Then I had a small problem that I couldn't quite figure out. I could have, but I didn't feel like spending any more time on it. The bars weren't colored in. So, I loaded the web page onto my Web Site. Loaded the page in my browser. Took a screenshot of it and saved it as a jpg file. Then I took a screenshot of my actual Account. I loaded both into Photoshop. I used the eyedropper tool in Photoshop and clicked on one of the colored bars to fill in the foreground color. Then I switched over to the edited page and filled in every 2nd bar. Then I switched back over to the unedited one and did the same thing to select the 2nd color and fill in the rest of the bars.
I did something similar awhile back, but it was much more complicated. I did the same thing with the Paycheck page. But that was a lot of manual calculations!! It shows one years worth (24 Paychecks). Each Paycheck was in the millions of dollars. Then for each Paycheck, I randomly picked a Refund percentage from anywhere between 4.5% to 10%. Then I manually calculated each and every Paycheck so that you could take any Paycheck and manually calculate it out and the numbers would be exact.
I'm a moderator over at the Adword Mentor Forum. At that time, there was a thread about this one site and the screenshots of how much that person was making per Paycheck. It was around the $100,000 mark if I remember correctly. So, I did what I explained in the above paragraph to show everyone how easy it is to edit the numbers to make it appear to be anything you want it to. My point being that you shouldn't believe any earnings screenshot that you see because it is very easy to make it look like you are making a lot more than you actually are. Of course, I made my numbers to be extremely high so that it would be obvious that it wasn't for real.
The screenshot by Brain is his real numbers. I just wanted to be funny and at the same time show everyone how easy it is to edit those numbers to make it look like you are a Clickbank God!!
I'll try to see if I can find that screenshot of the edited Paychecks that I explained above. I think it was August of last year when I did that up. If I find it, I'll post a screenshot.
