Hello
I've decided that I am going to try to tackle affiliate marketing from the other end of the spectrum, by placing an ebook on clickbank.
I am getting ready to put together an ebook for clickbank promotion. Just out of curiosity, how long do people generally make such ebooks? 100 pages? 30? 300 pages? What is a safe bet?
I have alot material to write it, but I may need to write more if it needs to be longer. I can also condense it if I can get away with shorter. Also, as far as actually writing the ebook, what is recommended? Should I just create a PDF to use? Or is there a better solution?
Thanks for any help.

It depends on the topic of your ebook. 50 pages of quality content is more valuable than 300 pages of filler and could easily be worth 40 or 50 dollars. Don't think about the length when you start, just see how long it takes to say everything you need to say.
To publish, I prefer using pdf files. You can make these easily (and for free) using openoffice. It is possible to use programs to make .exe ebooks if you want to protect your ebook more, but some people find these less user friendly.

I will stick with .PDFs then.
It will be high quality material. I have a thing about ethics that prevents me from making the real money in this business...
Anyone else have any suggestions?

Quality absolutely rates over quantity. The best purchase I ever made online was a report that was actually quite short. It had a lot of tips on creating your own ebook as a matter of fact.
Based on my pleasure with that purchase I would recommend this: Keep it simple. Totally easy both to comprehend and to implement ( if that applies). The product I bought came with email support, but I doubt very many people have questions.
One other thing. If publishing your ebook in both pdf and exe format wouldn't be too diffiicult.. I would say do both. My laptop, loves pdfs. Never gives me any trouble, neither does my little girl's. But the computer my husband favours jams up with every pdf.. never has any trouble with exe. If your customers can choose whichever works best for them, you may have less consumer support issues.

I would try and keep it under 100 pages I hate getting an ebook book that reminds me of highschool textbooks especially reading it off the screen I just can't read 200-300 pages ebooks. I like the ones that are around 60 - 80 pages because I can breeze through them in an hour or so.
