I just wondered if any other affiliates in here had used the codes from platinum partner to make web pages? I have found that about half of them, once you get through to the checkout, don't list my affiliate id at the bottom.. I've checked the code and my id is in place the saem as the ones that do work.. anyone know anything about this?
Sorry if its been covered, i searched but didnt find it..

How you do anything is how you do everything. They deceive their customers so it makes sense they would deceive their affiliates also.

I have promoted them in the past and after learning more about what their products really are I would not recommend them AT ALL. In fact, I will not be suprised when they get shut down for fradulent business practices, misleading advertising, and copyright infringement.

I would also think ClickBank would have higher standards for products they allow on their network, but apparently they are too nieve or just don't care, either way is not a good reflection on ClickBank.

Wow, thanks for the heads up because I was actually thinking about promoting them as well. Saved me a lot of time and potentially a lot of money!!!

EDIT: If you visit my website and notice the Platinum Partner reviews, dont mind them they won't be up for much longer LOL

They force you to use their affiliate links which they control on their servers, since they have 200+ sites, they are too cheap to pay the $50 fee on each, so they host multiple clickbank sites on each account, making it impossible to use the legitimate Clickbank hoplink. No thanks.

Oh Really Mrosson?
I usually agree with you but this time you're wrong.
Change your point of view and think about gravity.

Thats true, it would give them more sales which would increase their marketplace ranking, but they wouldn't have as many listings up there, which is what really doesn't make any sense to me. Plus, I don't see too many platinum partner sites up there too high, when you account for their refund rate (which is probably quite high) along with the fact that it is probably hard for them to cater to affiliates serving niche markets, I don't think it's a very viable strategy :) (Plus it just pisses off people like me who want to maintain control of their hoplinks.)

Oh yeah, their refund rate has gotta be really high, but I doubt they care, they're still making money.

Yea its better to stay true to clickbank's affiliate link format. Who knows whats going on behind their .asp affiliate link scheme.

I'm just surprised they haven't been shut down due to high chargebacks, along with half the sites on clickbank--I make a real effort to keep them as low as possible and within their limits, but I know that many other sites don't, and Clickbank doesn't seem to be doing much about it.

Oh well. didn't expect you guys to agree.
I know several vendors that do the same thing.
Take People-Search.com (Which I know most of you dislike) for example.
Their links are actually under BugDoctor (Error Fix Program).
What makes it the 2nd in the software top category.
What I'm trying to say is that it's a nice way to break clickbank rules, and gain some more newbies to promote your products, thanks to high gravity.

BTW... Was anyone promoting anything for the world cup 06?
Many people I know made a fortune!

I did. It was good until google started to disapprove my ad because of the vendors back button not working. From this day they still didnt fix it.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Mike and I am the Affiliate Director of PlatinumPartner.com
Just a few words to make you guys better understand our system and address some of your concerns.

First overall, we do not 'steal' or 'hijack' any of our affiliates sales. This would result in a very bad reputation and our business would be in danger. Something that we really do not want.

Many affiliates that starts have shown some concerns regarding the tracking as they see other affiliates ID or none on the paypage.

You do not need to worry, our system have been tested again and again.

You can test your affiliate link with your Clickbank ID by:

1. Go to your IE properties and click on "Delete Cookies"
2. Open a new window and insert your Affiliate link given by PlatinumPartner.com
3. Go through the signup process and verify that your Clickbank ID is shown as "affiliate = YOUR_ID"

Hope this will clear all your doubts.

The reason why we offer a different affiliate link than the original clickbank hoplink is because it gives us many advantages such as in-house stats, better performance and loading time, link cloaker, Google/Overture automatic tracking, customized website title and much more.

Although, we understand that some affiliates show some concerns and do not totally trust our affiliate links. This is why the original Clickbank hoplink is always available and offered on PlatinumPartner.com for all the websites listed.

Our reason of not having one Clickbank account for each site is that it would be very hard for us to do so as we come up with new sites all the time.

The gravity on Clickbank MarketPlace is also not a bad thing that came after we first started.

Our refund rates are very low compared to our competitors. We have our own Customer Support Team. You can test it out yourself!

Anyway, if you have any other concerns or questions. We'll be more than happy to help you out. You may contact our Affiliate Manager at contact@platinumpartner.com or me directly at mike@platinumpartner.com

Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any further assistance.

Sincerely,
Mike

PS: The new Link Cloaker system allows you to hide your affiliate link from the address bar and just have a simple domain name shown, this will higher your conversion rate.

In order to use this system, you will need to purchase your own domain name for the website you want to promote.

Once you have your own domain name, you will be able to upload to this domain hosting your index page with the PlatinumPartner affiliate html Hoplink Cloaker in it.

This will allow you to show our site you chose and hide your affiliate link.

You can be sure that after not finding my affiliate ID at the bottom of the checkout page.. Yes, i saw NONE. I cleared my cookies. Still NONE. Checked on my little girl's computer.. 4 year olds don't shop online. Still NONE. I don't think it had much to do with cookies. I wasn't just using a link, I was using the link cloaking system. Some pages worked and some didn't... ust weird to me..even checked through the html.

Also.. I too made a killing on the sat tv.. was pretty mad when the best payer got suspended.. 8 dollars less a sale after that.. Funnily enough, I had no idea there was any kind of game going on... I just thought people might buy it..
