View Full Version : Sale of Web Templates not allowed?

I am interested in possibly selling products via clickbank, and using their affiliates program to generate sales of my product. However, when I visited the "Getting Started" page (http://clickbank.com/selling.html), I noticed that under the Forbidden Activity header, there was this text (bulletin #7):

The sale of: unlicensed content, website templates, [...]

I am a bit confused, do they mean that the sale of website templates in general is banned, even those that are original to you and that you have created yourself, or that the sale of unlicensed website templates is disallowed...?

I did, however I was hoping someone might be able to help me out by answering my question here much more quickly :)

Best to verify with clickbank.com. However, they'll just decline your product if they don't think it's suitable in the sign up process.

usually if they mention that you can not sell something, that is the rule, concerning templates I would guess you should not have a problem as long as the customer gets to download the template right away

Thanks for the welcome everybody!

I made sure to specifically mention in the email that these were my OWN, ORIGINAL website templates that I had made. Hopefully I'll get an email back soon :)

Unfortunately we are no longer able to sell web site templates. We appreciate your interest in ClickBank and wish you the best of luck!

I know man, it really sucks. I was hoping that I would be able to sell my own website templates on there by letting affiliates do the advertising :(

Have you tried to go the paypal route or another company?

I wanted to do it through clickbank so the affiliates would do the advertising for me. If there is another program like this, please tell me!

If Paypal is fine with you, Paydotcom would probably work just fine, that way you get the affiliate aspect, and the funds just go to your Paypal account.

Well I do have one problem, my Paypal account isn't verified, will paydotcom work with that?
