Just want to update everyone that we are almost there. We are going to get some new databases for it soon and test it for a few days, if conversions jump up, the teaser search will be put on every site.

Hi Lev,
Congradulations, this is a great achievement. :) :) I'm sure the
conversions will most certainly jump! And the refund will drop big time! I
had around $4000 worth of refunds last month. That $4000 will most
definitely drop to below $1000 after the real search is in place.
All the best,
Apmfree
PS Will the teaser search be similiar to intellius??

Hi Lev,
This is really great news! We are all looking forward to installation of the real Teaser Search with great anticipation. Thanks for making it happen!

Hi Lev,
Which sites will it be on?
I don't know yet, as I said it is too early to know anything, when anything new develops I will let everyone know

Ok, we are looking at about 2 weeks until we get the database, then around 2 weeks to set it up, so to be safe in about one month we will have the "teaser" set up on all our websites. I did a sample search and I must tell you that the database is kick ass :)

I can see how the teaser search might increase conversions, but some have suggested that it will also reduce refunds and I was just curious what people are thinking about that. How will the teaser search help reduce refunds?

I suppose the rationale is that people will be able to see upfront that the site actually has the data they want. Currently people join on "faith" that they'll find the data they want, and the relatively low refund rates suggest that the majority do.
So by that same logic the teaser search could possibly prevent sales when the visitor's search falls within the 5% of the US population not covered in Lev's DB (i.e., seeing a "no data found" is surely a sale killer).
Hopefully in the above scenario, the visitor will be sent to the current results page and never see a "no data found" message.

Yes I agree. The only problem is that they will just ask for a refund...
