Hi All,
I'm seeing MAJOR problems with all the procash sites.
 This is the second time this has happened in the
past month, it may be a good idea to change servers or
something?

Lev,
I'm pausing my campaigns until this is resolved. BTW, this looks identical to the problem that happened about 3 weeks ago. At that time you mentioned switching web hosts, any update on that?

This has been an ongoing problem for quite some time.
Every Month there seems to be at least 1 day with problems.
Not only is a change in servers very much over due,
but you should spread the Procash sites between 3 or 4 servers. This way if there are problems, then it will affect 25% of your sites instead of 100%.
I'm sure that you are making enough profits to do this. :)

As QG mentioned, spreading the sites across multiple servers (and possibly hosting providers) is very wise. Additionally, you might consider storing a copy of each site on one of the other servers. You can then use the fail-over service provided by http://zoneedit.com/ to monitor and auto-switch when a problem is detected.

I was gone most of the day - and now I return to this crappy news!
Why in the hell don't you take some of this excellent advice and act on it! Its bad enough we have the problems with getting the Teaser Search up and running - but this SQL problem is a problem that should not exist on a repeated basis! People get hurt badly financially because of this not to mention the loss of customers who think what kind of amateur outfit is this?
It's disgusting and disgraceful. The fact that it keeps repeating is unacceptable!

This is straight up domestic violence! This type of verbal abuse is not necessary at all, knowing Lev & gang finding a permanent resolution to these server problems is #1 on priority list for today & we all should know that these things happen to any website be it yahoo, clickbank or procash. The difference is.......with Procash, they will actually sit down with you and consider your feedback & it makes me incredibly angry to keep seeing this type of abuse posted on their public forum that you, I and thousands of other business people frequent. These posts are initiated for one purpose only and that is to try & punish Lev with emotionally based verbal abuse that is obviously over the top and totally out of line. Pro Cash works their asses off all day and night maintaining their relationships with affiliates, such as myself, you and hundreds of others and there is obviously no reason to diarreah out the mouth at Lev on his forum when you can easily send him a PM or email.

Lev, I think there's a real opportunity to improve communication in these situations. For instance, I started this thread today at 11:36 AM PST. There was no Pro Cash response for over 6 hours.
I think what upsets people even more than the incident itself, is the lack of communication. A simple, "we're aware of the problem and looking into it," would go a long way.
I still don't know if the problem is fixed. I don't see the same errors, but some of the sites still seem slow. Will you please give us a status?

Nobody works harder than Lev and ProCash. If server issues are hurting affiliates then think about what those issues due to the bottom line of the program owner.
I know for a fact that Lev will do everything in his power to get these issues resolved in a timely manner.
The attacks are unwarranted and classless.

Yeah ditto Neb! It's annoying but Neb is right. DDoS (I'm assuming that is what it is) can happen to anyone. Public shaming is not really necessary. PM or email. When I got up this morning and saw there were no sales overnight I went to the forum. Read it and paused my campaigns. Whilst this hurts us all individually Procash have the most to lose so when they don't respond for 6 hours I assume they are running their collective arses off trying to fix it.

EXACTLY!
Nebula and Colin - you can't get mad at people for wanting communication to happen...we all know that it doesn't take more than a second to come on and post a quick reply regarding what is going on when something like this happnes - EVEN if you are not entirely sure what that is - ANYTHING is better than NOTHING.
What bothers me is that people get attacked when they voice an opinion - after all, that's what this forum is about: like-minded people getting together to discuss, in this case, internet marketing - more specifically: the professional cash network.
While Sha could have maybe said what was said a little nicer, that is a frusteration that many of us feel when these things happen with some regularity - and there is no note from any of the powers to be saying, "hey, we're aware of the probleme, " or, "here's what we know now (which may be nothing) but we'll update you AS SOON as we know more," for over 6 hours - at which I lost a couple hundred dollars during that time!
I realize that these things happen, and I don't think any of us are asking for the impossible, or for Lev to create a fool-proof system. But we do want quick communication when serious issues like this happens. We don't need people moderating our feelings, telling us what we can and can't - or should and shouldn't say!
I, for one, spend a LOT of money promoting professional cash sites, and you better believe that when issues come up regarding my business, and negative effects problems are having, I'm very passionate about finding answers...who isn't? If you're not, than that's a whole other problem in and of itself.
It's almost funny to me when I read these posts that certain people tend to freak out whenever there is the slightest HINT of negativity. In the end, that's life, and it pisses me off that if I am seeing a problem that could be handled better, I have to worry about being lambasted by someone who doesn't have the answers I need...obviously, we need to hear updates from LEV, not anybody else (unless you can help correct the problems in question, DON'T POST JUST TO TELL US WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT HOW WE VOICE OUR OPINIONS)!

Unless you want the most successful publishers on CB to think of you as "an Indigenous affiliate from hell" I suggest you do not rock the boat you are sitting in. It takes two seconds to send Lev a PM or email. It is generally encouraged to bring this up but not go so far as to abuse the dude who is supplying you with a great product. You should thank him for NOT checking the board and diverting his attention away from a crisis that had been brought to his attention immediately as it started by affiliates who communicated with him.

Neb,
Honestly, I was speaking more to Colin in this instance, but I have to ask, how and why can people not get upset about things like this happening? Why is that so forbidden for people to come on here and vent when they are frusterated.
I am very thankful to Lev for the work they do...and that's not the point here...the point is that when someone's frusterated about something, we get yelled at for being frusterated...
I don't think Sha's comments were the best way to go, but again, and I'll take my own advice, that's not MY place to say...like I said in the first post,
"I realize that these things happen, and I don't think any of us are asking for the impossible, or for Lev to create a fool-proof system. But we do want quick communication when serious issues like this happens."
Thats it. Neb, I apologize if my comments offended you, that was not my intention. Colin, same for you, but I do feel like you are quick to "call people out" when that isn't always necessary.

I share some of your sentiments, onewake.
First of all I don't think anyone should take it personal when a select few people don't know how to post civil comments to one another. There is obviously more going on in some people's lives than pro-cash sites. :) At the same time people should be allowed to express any view they want in anyway. Take a look at those North Korea photos that Lev posted on here earlier if you want to see what happens when people are muted and dissent is outlawed. :shoot:
What I was upset about as well as I think most people was the lack of communication that has been displayed on a consistent basis. Now not many have defended Lev and Pro-cash more than I in the past, but 6 hours shouldn't go by before someone from pro-cash makes a public recognition of a problem. That is all I'm asking for as well as the rest of the reasonable folks on here. :) There should be a VERY simple system in place: as soon as pro cash realizes that a serious problem exists that will require some time to fix the first thing that should be done should be a post made on ewealth or better yet an e-mail should go out to everyone that has subscribed letting everyone know of the problem. Then as soon as the problem is resolved another e-mail or post should be written saying that.
Also, I've said it before: no one here loses more money than Lev when these types of problems occur, and I'm sure he is working VERY hard to correct the problem while were bitching and moaning. However, it needs to be understood that this small communication change would save affiliates hundreds of dollars each in a day like today. For us it's NOT just the lost sales, but also ad dollars that are being wastfully spent for hours because we didn't know a problem had occured.
If the sites goes down once a month, fine so be it, things don't always go perfectly that's life, but let there be no one who can say pro cash didn't do everything they could to let people know ASAP. :)
P.S. Let's try not to give those cantankerous fellows on here the satisfaction of knowing that they got your goat. :)

No one got anyone's goat, This isnt Jenny Jones, it's a partnership and there is no way that a publisher can know how long an attack will last. You really want him to post a thread saying "ok everyone, the servers arent working right now" and then 5 minutes later they are working and everyone is confused. Press pause until the attack is over. Anyone who adds to a publisher's stress has no excuse. Lev has 40 sites and 1000 affiliates, he's got his responsibilities cut out for him. I know from experience and a 100 hr work week that the machine is well oiled to reap success. This thread was ideal until the focus turned to a kindergarten mentality with a daily troll who uses four red angry icons and calls him discusting. You are out of your mind to speak to your partner like that. And in fact, I think the infrastructure of our business should be better understood by the majority of affiliates that promote publishers sites. -Onewake -It's not forbidden and I am voicing my opinion as well, that's what a forum is. Thanks

I want to apologize for not keeping you posted on our hosting attack today. I was out most of the day from my office when the attack occured and Alex found out about the attack later on and was on the phone with our hosting company the whole day so he did not have time to post on ewealth. Most of you know that we are very accessible and usually answer your post or emails as soon as we can so today was an exception.
As for the hosting, they identified the attack and halted it. We are going to split our sites into three different servers now, one being from a different hosting company. There might be some down time, while we do this so we will keep everyone posted, but for now you can all resume your campaigns :)

Unfortunately, some major password website(s) were involved, offshore, of course, so the only option is to send an "unofficial" enforcer to shove those sites where the sun don't shine.

That sucks!
Very frustrating when you know which sites are involved and you can't do a thing about it!
But I bet you if they tried that with Ebay, Google, or Microsoft, then the FBI would be involved and those guys would quickly realize that they aren't above the law because they operate "offshore".

There's also DDoS - Distributed Denial of Service. Where several (sometimes several hundred thousand) computers attack one or more sites at once. This is why it's important for everyone to have updated Anti-Virus & Anti-Spyware software. Otherwise your PC might be participating without your knowledge.
