I use Article Dashboard - it's free. There's a squeeze page that you have to fill out first and then they'll email you the download link:

I get emails from them asking me to buy stuff every week or two but it's not too bad, and the software itself is pretty powerful.

Limited customization as they use IonCube to block off a lot of the source code but they do have a template system that'll allow you to tweak 90% of the things you'll ever need to tweak.
