First scam out there is Traffic exchanges,do not waste your time or money with these!I've tried numerous Traffic Exchanges and believe me when I say they don't work!!People on there don't have any money that's why there on there,aimlessly trying to click from Website to Website desperately trying to build up there credits. (So someone will visit there website,and that person visiting your website will do the exact same thing. (It's a big revolving door)Biggest waste of time on the internet as far as I'm concerned!So stay away from them.

2) Buying traffic from a company offering 1,000 visits for $5. 00 as an example. I've never had any luck with these either the quality of traffic is not very good so once again if you read this save your money!

3) Here's what works Pay Per Click if you have a few extra bucks to spend Pay Per Click is one of your best bets!You can get started for as little as $5.00 on some of the top Pay Per Click Search Engines research the keywords you want to use. I use Google Ad-words as my keyword research tool. It will tell you how many times the phrase you type in is searched,and the cost per click for that chosen keyword. (A Handy Tool To Research Keywords For Your Search Engine Optimization campaign,getting listed in the top of the major search engines for free)Grab the lowest competition keywords related to your website that are searched the most times!For example I would not use any phrases that have more than 300,000 listings try to keep it there or preferably below that to rake in the visitors to your website!!

4) Craigslist-this site is great for raking in free traffic!!They have millions of monthly visitors and you can post ads free,you see the potential! Here's my free Craigslist tip setup 7 different G-mail accounts and post ads ten ads one one account a day just switch your title on each ad you post! Why 7 you ask so they cannot accuse you of spamming the forum. Which I cannot blame them!Please follow there rules its a great traffic generator. So to recap (7 different Email addresses equals 7 different people everyone is happy and your account wont get suspended)Its a little time consuming the first week but after that all you'll have to do is republish your ads from your Craigslist account. Believe me its well worth the work!

5)Social Forums Such as MY Space great way to promote your websites tip: Optimize your My Space page for the search engines,then submit your My Space URL to the Search Engines. The spiders will eat it up and if done correctly you'll get high rankings in the search engines.

6) U. S Free Ads-If you have not used them you need this is one of my 2 the best bangs for your buck! Write a short Article maybe something related to your website hit submit,and its off to the races submitting to all these high volume Article Directories. You can play Golf while its working. You can have hundreds of back links pointing at your website in days increasing your rankings with the search engines quickly. Not to mention all the people reading your article on these Websites you found me right? This is my best investment for the money bar-none a one time fee that pays off again and again!!

I was not familiar with US ads, and typically don't spend money to place classified ads, but perhaps I will not check it out.

Also, I have not been a big fan of article submitters, but rather submitted to the top article sites for free. Perhaps in the effort of time, I should reconsider putting volume over quality.

you cant get accused of spam,you can add html,links,you name it...the ads look like a mini website.If you haven't heard of bum marketing-google it!Learn it its very easy then apply it to your premium membership on u.s free ads!Only 9.99 a month and you can place unlimited ads...Ads that could bring you in a hell of a lot more than that measly 9.99 a month. Well, well, well, those are some real tips. I had recently joined a traffic exchange site hoping for some visitors but what I read here is making me think again.

I did try Adwords but failed and I don't have much money to get started again but when I do I will give it a try another time.

I did some article writing too, again, no result.

May be I am born unlucky after all.

Great article. Although I don't use article submitter software, instead I submit manually to just 10 article directories, but remember to submit to sites that has high traffic such as ezinearticles.com. I've had an experience before with article submitter software, they don't actually submit to all the directories listed, and some of the directories has low traffic and not working.

I do advise to focus on just the top 10 article directories. It is worth the time and effort. Viral markteing is also one of the most powerful ways to generate traffic. And also, sometimes we have to spend a little to make more, I also advertise on Ebay's classified ads for $10 a month.

Yes, it is defiantely have used article marketing for traffic. I usually stick with one article directory though because the one works find. I write about twenty articles, then the next day they are published, I just build about ten backlinks to my site using dofollow forums with high pR. I usually make about 1-2 sales which gives me about $50-$100 a day which is a pretty good income. Article marketing is the way to go. I have been looking for a good article submitter for the longest.
