You can succeed at bum marketing
I can't stress enough how important you need a SOLID plan if you want to be successful at affiliate marketing. You need to find a bunch of long tailed keywords and start writing articles. Lots and lots of good quality articles. Leave a link to your site and then another one giving away some free information. (hmm maybe a pdf or something) This really really increases your click ratios. This helps from keeping your articles from dieing and never being seen again. (seems to big problem, i have seen it first hand)
What is your intentions behind affiliate marketing? If you are just interested in making quick money than affiliate marketing is not for you. It takes a ton of work. You intention should be to solve problems not make quick money. YOU HAVE TO SOLVE PROBLEMS OR YOU WILL MAKE ZERO.
Release your articles in batches. Like 10 or 15 at time and keep at it. Don't sit back and refresh your clickbank account every 5 seconds. Just keep working at more articles. Find better content and update your landing pages, blogs, etc. You have to be a pro at your niche. Also, be active on other related blogs and you will see results. Who knows you might even learn something or spark new ideas.
thats all i got for now

Really good advice. I always say that affiliate marketing is a matter of time and effort, and that you may not see even a dime coming to you if you don't work hard for months.
Anyway, when you finally succeed at affiliate marketing, you realise it's the best you can do for a living :) You're your own boss, you work whenever you want, you earn whatever you want, your creativity is your only limit, etc.

Very inspirational and solid sensible advice. Someone once said "pick a niche that you are passionate about and you'll be a success with it". Sounds along the same lines as what you're advice above is saying.
Thanks for posting. We all learn from it.

yeah make it something you care about or it will be hard to sell a product. Remember it takes a lot of hard work and dedication; if you don't want to work affiliate marketing isn't for you.

I reread the post... you make a great point and you are very "matter of fact"... and absolutely right. You HAVE to put in EFFORT to make money online - it takes more than a paypal account and a website.

I would also like to add that you should set a marketing budget on what you will spend each month to market your affiliate program. By combining bum marketing with paid marketing you will accelerate your growth.

Yes. A good article does not have to be long. It needs to be informative and well thought through. This will maximise the effect of your seo work. :)
How would you escribe the success of your strategy? Have you seen results relatively quickly?

YOU HAVE TO SOLVE PROBLEMS OR YOU WILL MAKE ZERO.
Very true. In the world of marketing, by solving other people's problem, you solve yours. :D

Solving problems IS a great focus but don't forget that even many people with problems they should be addressing still look for quick quality of life improvements - things they don't really need but simply want and are willing to pay for them. Heck, they may even neglect glaring problems they know they have and still splurge on what they think will make them happy.
Voltaire once said:
The superfluous is very necessary.
It's still true today and there will always be a market for it.

Excellent information. And is so true. In order to succeed with article marketing you just gotta keep at it. Do not stop writing just because you are not seeing results today. Keep writing and you will eventually see results. :)

This is good. Real good. Right to the point. I have slacked off the past two weeks and it shows.
You have to write until you feel like it is pointless and then you keep writing until you control all longtail keywords with search volume.
Then you check your rankins after you have done all you can do, then wait......or start on another niche and do it all over again.

Bum Marketing if they are willing to put a little time and effort into it. And it only has to be a little effort, we are not talking about 40 hours each week here. That is why Bum Marketing is such a great concept – you can not work hard, make mistakes and still earn big money! ..

You also might want to diversify your marketing methods. You don't want to depend on just one marketing method.

This is great advice the context can be appropriate for any online money making method, because lots of people think online money comes flooding the bank account easily. This is not true just like any other job. Online money making needs hard work. Thanks for sharing.
