There are large number of affiliate networks and web site owners are not very sure as which one to go for. I have read a number of blog post and articles in ezines about affiliate marketing and the best networks. Many of them forewarn about joining affiliate networks without proper background checks. Now, if it is possible I am not able to figure it out.

Affiliate networks might be circulating all information about themselves. The testimonials are rarely presented and there are few reviews about the services. Either the affiliates, who are making good money, do not want to share the information, being afraid that it might harm their own interests or there may not be anyone interested in doing it at all. May be super affiliates know a thing about it. But I have not found a single account that might help in making a decision.

Hi, I agree with what you're saying. I'm a site owner and after having been burned by a couple of affiliate sites, I only use affiliates that I KNOW pay each and every month but it took a couple of years to figure it out through trial and error- that's why we don't give out the info. It's a lot of work and research running a GPT site. I know this sounds pretty vague but when you put in so many hours a day in running a business, you're not just going hand over info to a potential competitor. We expect you to work for the info like we did!

There is no Best Merchant Program. Some people can succeed with a merchant where many others have failed. It is often true that some do poorly where others are making a fist full of dollars. Forums are full of posts that begin with, "My Sales this month for Merchant Program X are very poor." These same posts usually end with some one else posting, "Funny my sales are great." Remember that for your first site select a merchant based on what you know. In the early days, when you have just one small site, it will be easy to swap out all the links if the chosen merchant doesn't work out.

According to my experience in money making , google's adsense is the best affiliate site and u can get huge ads easily without any constrain and easy to get ad code and how ad should look, and whenever a person make a click on it ,you will get paid.

I have used adsense in the past with good success, have not tried idea affiliate but it sounds reputable, the fact that they get back to you is pretty invaluable.

Affiliate networks are third party sites that list and manage affiliate programs. Is that what you are referring to?

These are the affiliate networks I use:

Hello Friends,

I had worked with few affiliate networks as affiliate as well as merchant and I will like to share my view over here.

I had worked as Merchant with following affiliate networks:

Commission Junction
ClixGalore
ClicXchange
RupizAffiliate
Affiliate Bot
Affiliate-Advantage UK

>> CJ is one of the good network as they have one of the best affiliate tracking software. But the quality of affiliates are very poor for a new and smaller program. It is too much costly

>> ClixGalore is cost effective but affiliate as well as merchant support is very poor

>> ClicXchange is Shit... I am sorry for using such bad words but it is true.

>> Rupiz Affiliate is a fraud and never join. Poor support, no response if they can't give result. Avoid them

>> Affiliate Bot is really good and David Tan is a good account manager

>> Affiliate-advantage is just trying to make you fool. avoid

From my experience, Commission Junction is costly but the previous program I handled through them was definitely a success. I agree though that the quality of the publishers are quite poor. You'll get loads of applications but only a few percentage of your publisher would actually generate something.

I guess this is just a matter of properly optimizing your campaign to make it more compelling to the publishers and end customers.

Check out the affiliate network in my signature. They've been pretty good to me so far. They do a pretty good job. If you call they'll pick up the phone and give you as much support as you need.

When joining a network I normally do a bit of quick research on the net to see if there is any shady talk about them.

I also only join networks that have their company address and phone number on their site either in their contact page or somewhere else. I don't join any networks that just have an email submission form or just a few email contact addresses.

There some of the things I look for when joining a network.

I think there's no ideal affiliate network. Finding the one that is best suited to you takes some time. You have to experiment with the existing affiliate networks, try them out yourself and see what works.

But before investing your time and effort on one, you should do your research.
