View Full Version : New Site - Highly Recommended - GovernmentCash.org 75%

Hey everyone,

A good friend of mine has been planning the launch of a new clickbank site in the government grants niche. We finally finished it this week. The website is www.governmentcash.org/affiliate.htm and it pays 75% on $39.95 which is the highest allowed on Clickbank. He is also offering cash bonuses on a tiered basis.

I've been doing pretty well on this site so I want to recommend it to eWealth members to give this niche a try. I've personally worked with him to develop it over the past few months, so it's a solid high-convering site.

Post here or IM me with questions or direct them to support@governmentcash.org and either of us would be glad to help with your campaigns.

What's the conversion rate you are getting?

mrosson
January 28th, 2006, 10:41 PM
My conversion rate is typically 1:35 to 1:40 on PPC ads, which is average for these types of sites. I'm doing pretty well with just a basic campaign.

I find that hard to believe. 35 to 40? Do you know exactly?

Sorry, that just seems awfully high for ANY kind of conversion rate to a sale, especially for a site that hasn't even tested its sales copy.

Call me skeptical, but when new sites say they have conversion rates like that right out of the box I find it a bit unbelievable. Of course you could have some VERY good ads running with some VERY strong qualifiers, but even then that seems very high for a brand new site.

I didn't see your site anywhere listed for common terms on the major PPC engines. Can you provide us with an example?

P.S. I'm not trying to call you a liar or anything, just skeptical, that's all.

These claims are bogus, outright artificial and reminiscant of the lies that were told to the shareholders of Enron. "Yes, My government grants website has incredible conversion rates of 1 in 35, (no keywords, or let me guess, ONLY ONE ADGROUP AND CRAM ALL DIFFERENT KEYWORDS INTO ONE) then photoshop the Google adwords layout to show CTR's that don't add up to 90% of the misguided hardworkers that DRINK THE KOOLAIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS WEBSITE HASN'T EVEN COME OUT YET!!! HOW CAN THE CONVERSIONS BE CALCULATED!

Yeah, I would have to agree. And you wonder why so many new affiliates get befuddled and distraught and end up giving up.

Nebula, let me correct the misinformation from your post. First of all, Clickbank updates the marketplace weekly, not real time. The site will not show up until Wednesday in the marketplace since it was just launched. Just because I've been critical of your sites in the past does not give you the authority to make unsubstantiated claims about other sites that I happen to promote (which, by the way, isn't even mine -- and yet I'm getting crap about it?)

The conversion data that I mentioned was on a small number of clicks -- I've only had maybe 100 clicks on the site, and 3 sales on my test campaign, which is a bona fide 1:33 conversion. :innocent:

Try it out for yourself before making judgments. :innocent:

I sent an email to the email address on the site and didn't get any answer there either. I also tried to message mrosson.
I don't want to join into this fight but nebula1, weren't you the one with beats365? That didn't work out for me at all.

Ok, I hate doing this and taking sides!!! dangit... Ok the beats site is good stuff in the hiphop world. You have to remember who your target audience is. Ok if you promote hiphop beats who are going to purchase them.... Ok you have younger kids and some older that dont really want to spend money(and downloads half of there music for free) but will try them out.... ok... now ask how many of those people are going to click on your add... A BUNCH if you do not properly put the description on the ad.... ok once they click on your add and see its the same as the other 4 they clicked on they are not going to buy it. In this case I would put the price and the name of the site in the ad so people could determine if they want it or not, and they will not waste your clicks. You can not market everyones site the same, its all about who your target audience is. Do I promote his site? Nope, why not? because I can not honestly see myself making any money from it unless I did research and found a little niche that I could market with his website, which I really dont have time to do. Whats the purpose of my post? I have no idea anymore, I forgot....... What final words do I have? Wanderlust keep looking around, do research, when you find something that you would like to market, try to figure out who your target audience is going to be, then run some test to minimize lost of money!! Then make lotz of money

brazielr, I wasn't putting beats365 down. Sorry you got that impression. I'm new at this.

nebula1, I did talk to you on IM. You were busy and I said I would get back to you the next day, I didn't. When someone lays out a campaign like you did, I'm gonna try it.
If I were smart, I'd give up :)
But I'm not that smart, so I'll keep trying.

Hi Wanderlust,
My Beats365 site is definetly one of a kind, it's a total niche site and must be fine tuned. Follow the campaigns I set up and use conversion tracking as well, for there are many new keywords I have implemented this week.
Beats365 can be very easy money if you set up those adgroups I suggested.
Just make sure you do initial tests at first before you put the pedal to the metal. :)

Hi Nebula1,

You are absolutely right about Beats365.Com. Anyone can make a killing of sales with it if they use the right keywords. I may start promoting it soon because I know a couple keywords that I've done some research on that are very targeted for it and have barely any competition. Ca-Ching!

Is the 'highly recommended' title on your first post based on your 100 clicks?

I'd like to be able to trust recommendations, specially from someone as established as you, but sometimes it's hard to see through the sales talk.

Is this sales talk?

ColaDesigns

As an affiliate, I'm really turned off by the Affiliate page.

Where do I find the Vendor ID that I can use to promote this product? It should be on the page. I'm sure that I can find it listed in the Clickbank Marketplace and get the Vendor ID from there.

But why should I have to hunt for it?

Cola, in retrospect it wasn't the brightest question..if it is sales talk, he's not gonna say so and if it isn't, then I didn't need to ask. :innocent:

I'd still like to know the answer to my first question though.

How are your sales doing now Cola?

I searched the Clickbankmarketplace yesterday for about 15 minutes before giving up. I have better things to do with my time.

Then it dawned on me. I can just go to the order link and the Vendor ID will be in the URL link.

But why make it hard for Affiliates to find out your ID so they can promote you?
