from my newbie perspective, it seems as though it would be the best option to send directly to the health site (rather than send to a landing page).. but for google adwords, don't they prohibit any 2 ads at a time from sending to the same site?

They only allow the top 2 ads to show the same urls.

And yes, if you are selling something directly thru adwords it probably is best to send them straight to the merchant site.

Now if you want to write your own sales review of the product on your own landing page, you can then link directly to the sales page.

The less clicks they have to make the better.

CJSHU,

Google Does NOT allow more than 1 display URL for the same website...(EX: ewealth.com could not be on the results page twice for one keyword)

"They only allow the top 2 ads to show the same urls."

Actually, if there are 2 or more ads with the same Display URL, Google will only allow the one with the highest "quality score" to be displayed. The "quality score" is a combination of ad CTR history, the bid price, and undisclosed fudge-factors. If you are the "new kid", you probably don't have a chance unless you make an outrageous bid that will put you in the poorhouse within 24 hours (and probably not even then).

To compete on Adwords you'll either need a landing page, or use a frame redirect to cheat the system.

1 is correct. :o

Explain how you use frame redirects. Is this allowed?

(Pasted from Google)

Affiliate Policy
We allow affiliates to use AdWords advertising. Please note that we'll only display one ad for affiliates and parent companies sharing the same Display URL per search query. We also monitor and don't allow the following:

Redirect URLs: Ads that contain Display URLs that automatically redirect to the parent company.

Bridge Pages: Ads for webpages that act as an intermediary, whose sole purpose is to link or redirect traffic to the parent company.

Framing: Ads for webpages that replicate the look and feel of a parent site.

Yeah, I would definitely suggest following the rules if you plan on making any kind of long term income through Adwords.
