A few months ago someone in one of these forums started a thread on making money with misspelled domains. Well that got me to thinking, and I decided that since it only costs me $9.95 per year to keep the domain name going, that I'd buy a few misspelled domain names and give it a shot.
One of them happened to be salehooo.com - which of course I redirect to salehoo.com w/ my cb hoplink. I made my first sale w/ it today and made a cool $45. I'm very excited about it. It's not really a good way to make a living (I suppose you could if that's all you did) but it's easy money. I love easy money, this may motivate me to try a few more.

while they may not be ways of making huge amounts of money, mis-spelled domains can make quite a few solid sales consistently. some of the top names in internet marketing explain how to exploit mis-spelled domain names in their ebooks.

Congrats!
Interesting... I've always doubted that misspelling works. By the way, do you mind sharing how much traffic you're getting? My reason for asking is that in order for this to work consistently, the traffic level has to match its conversion rate.
Thanks!

The traffic on this is only 1 or 2 per day. But it only takes one sale in a year to more than pay for itself.
Also - some of the more popular sites get a lot more misspelled traffic, but you have to jump on the domains quick. Often times requiring you to be a fortune teller - seeing whether or not a site will be popular in the future. Sometimes you can get lucky though, and find one that no one has grabbed up yet.
