I have tried for two years to make money with clickbank and I've not made one penny. What are you people doing to make it work?
Please show me some of your websites to give me some good ideas.

The main factor is that successful marketers do not give up. :)

Instead of trying to cop the ideas of others, it might be better to post what has not been successful for you so others can critique them and provide insights.

Dave-
The problem is probably keyword related in your ads. If you don't have enough keywords you are not getting the right exposure. When you write your ads, think of how you might think if it was an ad you were the one considering buying the product. Does your ad attract? And as Cloin said -don't ever give up. When you give up, you have failed.

People often tend to think that Affiliate Marketing is "Easy". The true fact of the matter is this is, and can be a difficult line of work to be involved in; and only persistance, drive and a strong desire to succeed will make it work.

I have been at this for 3 years, averaging 16 hour work days most of the time. Most people would say that those kinds of hours in relation to a Regular 8:00 to 5:00 job are Ludicrous. However, I Love What I Do, and the Freedom from the Traffic Jams and Independance I have only make me want to try harder.

I am certainly not getting Rich by doing what I do. I earn a Modest Living, Sleep In, Hang Out at the Lake in the Summer and am for the most part Happy.

While Dreams of Wealth are always in the back of my Mind, it is Not the Reason I do this. I just like it.

Set a Timeline for Personal Success as measured by your own Standards and Look to your Inner Self to see if this is really what you want to do. If not, there is no shame in saying you gave it your Best Effort.

Best of Luck!

Whatever other will tell you it's not true, because some work 16 hours and they make a living, some work 3 hours a day and make a living.

For me, I started reading in 06, started doing in 07, 8 months and I am making 10x times my momma makes on her job. In 08 I am going for a mill ( in my currency $100,000 approximately). Not a a mill a month, but a mill a year, which will be pretty good for me

I do not believe in working hard, I believe in working smart. And affiliate marketing is easy, all you need to figure out is how to get traffic from search engines, pick a niche, drive that traffic and put a product in front of people's nose that are looking for it and you're set to riches.

The only thing that is hard is getting that traffic, other than that it is easy. But I guess it's just me, for others it might be different, so you can't tell which method is best or worst, it's all different for everyone.

Personally, I have been on the brink of giving up for some time. I mainly use clixgalore as my affiliate center as they pay with Paypal, and I was just about to give up on them as my site stats say I have sent a heap of clicks through to them, but have had no sales.

Imaging my surprise when I got an email from them yesterday saying I had made a sale! WoooHooo, my first one with them! This sale came from a site that has only had 4 visitors so now I guess it's about driving some traffic to it to make some more.

Don't give up, just persevere and keep trying different ways to get focussed traffic to your site.

If I can do it, anyone can!

Cheers

Never Give Up!
You will never know for sure how far you could've gone and what you could of achieved if you give up now,at the end of the day you have been doing this for two years with no results and you still managed to stick in there,so just focus on one project and push it and push it until you get a result!
Whats another few years gonna hurt anyway, you could be a lot wealthier than you are now,who knows?

Not to be mean or offensive, but that page looks very unprofessional and untrustworthy. It might have looked good in 1996, but to compete now, you're going to need professional looking graphics and design.

Can you afford to hire a web designer on Elance or Rent A Coder?

You may also want to focus on a less competitive niche than make money online ... especially if you're not making money online yourself. Maybe you could pick a niche and write real and honest reviews of the best products.

Just my .02 cents ....

I agree with above. It might mean you have a long way to go still, but it's still better than giving up completely.

If you need a hand with getting started, just let me know, I'm happy to help out.

I really appreciate all of the feedback.
It's nice to belong to a group that it soul purpose is to help each other out.
My website as far as selling t-shirts is getting world wide attention and making me some decent money for only being a year old.
As far as clickbank goes I feel that maybe I need to design a new website just to market their products.

What I meant by giving up is that without one sell from them I wasn't sure if it would be worth the effort to buy a new dotcom and pay for hosting.

I come here and everyone seems to have found the key to do that. To not actually see what people are doing to make money at this it's hard to get any encouragement.
I have been involved in other programs where everyone was talking about all of the money they where making only to find out that they were the people pushing their own products and collecting all of the profits.

Thanks again for all of your support.

dave1,

You also want to make sure you are using the correct hoplink format
with your promotions. On your page, the links to Internet millions,
Superaffiliates, and Bloggingtothebank are not using the correct hoplink
format.

I hate to go against the grain - but if you've been doing this for 2 years and you haven't made a cent, then you need to be doing something else.

You've got to put forth a full effort in this business or you may as well not be here. And if you're putting forth a full effort and not making a cent, then you're probably just not cut out for this business.

People think that everything about making money online is a piece of cake. And for some people it is. But for most it's a lot of work.

It's like those people on American Idle that can't hold a tune, but insist on spending their life savings to get to American Idle. Don't waste any more time or money - do something else!

What do you mean by "You have been trying it for two years?"

PPC? Pay Per Click? Just one method of advertising? What have you been doing?

Its a pretty simple process to find out WHY its not working for you. You might even know why deep down. First, explain in detail how many hours in the last 2 years you have worked on WHAT, & so forth.

For the past few years I've only advertised clickbank products with just banners on
different sites I've had.
I never really went at it 100%. Know after finding this board I realize that I've been missing out and need to rethink it.
My t-shirts are doing well but I need to start a whole new venture with clickbank.

Good ideas is what I'm looking for.

First of all, you need a certain clickbank product for a certain site. It should be relevant to the site you are selling it on. If its t-shirts, find a product that people who are looking for t-shirts will buy. Is that all your doing is banners?

Dave you site is hard to read. Look at the font. I did not bother reading it because I could tell at a glance that that was the main reason that it was no good. Dave if you just go to google type in a keyword in the search engine. Then look at the results you will get a good idea on what is working.

I don't think anyone here is going to give away what is working in this thread. But that is exactly what I do when I research how to make a landing page for promoting affiliate products. Know your competition. Then try to do something as good or better. Make sure the reader can read your page easily. You should be presaleing the products in your blog too. Like have an article related to the product. Then recommend the product.

Consider a popup that collects opt ins for a free report to build your list. You should be albe to make some decent free webpage blogs with blogger.com or wordpress.com . The default fonts and formats should help. Put promotions in text link form on the blog. Text normally converts better than banner ads.

Another problem with your site is that your links and pages are not all related to the same niche. You need to have the website dedicated to one niche or even a subniche. Not to a bunch of different products that are not related in some form.
