I have been in affiliate management for about 6 years. I have also been an affiliate myself for the same amount of time. Managing affiliates properly comes down to staying in touch with them and building a good rapport. I always encourage the affiliates in my programs to call me to discuss seo, ppc and affiliate marketing. I ask for their number so we can have a conference call. The best way to manage affiliates is to pick up the phone and discuss the industry and how to market with them.

Hi Evan,
Wow - six years - as far as I see it, that makes you a VETERAN in online marketing lol

I completely agree with you about staying in regular communication with affiliates. Unfortunately, a lot of affiliate managers do not take five minutes a week to write a quick email, send a quick instant message, or pick up the phone and check in with their affiliates. That's not only a missed business opportunity, but, more importantly, it's missed rapport-building. Getting to know each affiliates' individual needs is key to success!

And the conversation doesn't always have to be about business - in fact, it shouldn't. A quick conversation about their family, their recent ski trip or vacation, or their favorite sports team or hobby is great to have.

Online marketing is a great industry filled with many great affiliates and advertisers. I look forward to establishing many more relationships in the years to come! :)

The best thing about Affiliate Management is the relationships I've built with my pubs!

I agree guys, if you aren't willing to pick up the phone and call an affiliate you are worthless! The art if it is to get affiliates to call you...

I couldn't agree more. I actually just started an affiliate program for FilingSupplies.com and had my first affiliate sign up today. The first thing I did was pick up the phone and call him.

Can't agree more. Every new affiliate that applies on our network I call. I also am constantly keeping an eye on how the affiliates are doing and don't hesitate to email or call one of them to check in with them.

The idea of making deafening noise is to drive away the evil spirits who flocked to the living at this climactic season with a great wailing of horns and shouts and beating of drums. This is why at the stroke of midnight we hear the deafening cacophony of sirens, car horns, boat whistles, party horns, church bells, drums, pots and pans - anything that serves the purpose of producing a devil chasing din.cheapest wow gold (http://goleveling.com/)

You are 100% right on! If i come out on the sales floor at my office and don't hear people on the phone i go nuts! I had a AM tell me that he thinks IM is the best way to contact Affiliates I told him to get on the phone a talk to them, he said well i don't think that is effective - I replied with "today is your last day" yup get on the phone.

Completely agree, as long you keep in touch with them. Make sure they know that you care about their business as well.

I do wish someone would call me who can help me understand how to post a new post on this ewealth forum.
Here's my phone number -- no kidding, but talk into the message machine -- so I know you are from EWealth before I answer your call and please leave your phone number if I am not in at the moment: Baji Milici 772-794-9554.
