View Full Version : Generate lots of Traffic with Yahoo Groups

One of the things I do to generate traffic is to use yahoo groups. It is great because it is not highly technical so anyone can use this method.
Some yahoo groups have 50,000 plus members to them. This is like having your own group. What an exciting way to market your business...but you have to follow a code of conduct:
So here is what you do!
1. Go to yahoo.com and set up an account.
2. Find all the groups that are relevant to your customer base.
3 Find large groups i.e. over 1000 subscribers to that group.
4. Start posting tips and ideas to these groups. Every time you post a tip, it gets sent out to the whole group. Pretty groovy, huh?! So for example, if you are selling skin care, go to a group that is talking about wrinkles and tell them to use Vitamin A on their wrinkles and why. Develop the relationship...it is all about relationship marketing.
5. Make sure that you find out what the common problems are in that group. Write a quick report/newsletter.
6. After you have developed the relationship...send out your email to the group about your free report or free newsletter to their common problems...have this sent to your webpage with your optin html code on it....you now have a ton of free leads.
This is so easy and you will see it work like magic. Just be real and don't spam people. People want good advice. Remember, what comes around goes around.
You might even want to offer to tell their story in your newsletter. For example, if they try your tips and they work for them, have them send you their story and you will feature them in your next newsletter. People love attention. They will send your newsletter out to everyone they know and pretty soon it becomes viral. :)

I still believe it does and i have joined few different forums and yahoo groups that having a lot of population and related to my topic of interest. Imagined if you join 10 forums and each forums will give you a minimum of 10 clicks on your link that will make already 100 traffic a day. What if more than 10 clicks ;) that make a lot

The links are nofollow so you're not likely to get either out of it.

Yes, it will NOT give us a high traffic but we can get some extra visitors and if your contents are unique, it can give you a little buzz.

Yahoo groups are nice, but for instance... what about yahoo messenger. You can get instant sales and close them quickly if you have the right training.
If you have heard of Mentors on a Mission, please use that skill to earn profit.
If you haven't please get in touch with me so we can get you signed up immediately.
If you are already finacially set, we can leverage that cash into more money than you could ever imagine.
How does that sound?
You don't have to take my word for it, but take chances and learn from mistakes.

So what you're saying is that you're getting ~10 clicks per day, per group? Or are you just creating a hypothetical situation?
This is an idea that I am going to investigate further though. Sounds like it's a good way to generate a prospect list at least.

Yahoo! Groups work well, however they can be over-saturated with "marketers" (spammers)
Don't pick the biggest groups. Pick modest-sized groups (50-100) since the largest are targeted by the spammers.
