Hi,
I was introduced to CB about a year and a half ago, I really wanted to get in and make it work but unfortunately some things turned in my life and I was unable to continue with it.

I want to get back into it now but it seems that alot has changed, I hardly recognize the terminology, and software anymore. I'm in no means am saying change is a bad thing, I'm simply reading some posts and it seems that the profits has been decreasing. ??

Anyway, my question is, are people still able to make a living, or even a very decent part time income via clickbank?

I have the time now to get back into it, and some money set aside as "play" money that I can spend on ad campaigns, I really would like to make it work but after reading some posts it seems that I've come in too late.

Thanks,
Dennis

PS: has there been an updated tool to see what the average price of each keyword is? like the old overture tool?

The playing field is always changing in this medium. The "Bubble" will only burst for those that don't evolve to the changing territory of the web. In that everything is constantly changing, nothing has changed.

There's plenty of money in Clickbank - in selling information. I don't ever see that potential to decline.

Thanks for the reply, and I suppose that does make sense and is the same reason that bookstores will never be obsolete as people are always willing to pay for information.

What are some ways in which people figure out how much keywords are? It seems that in order to be successful, you have to be able to budget your add campaigns, and without knowing how much to spend on various keywords you won't be able to budget accurately.

Yeah man, people will always want to know things. Humans desire for knowledge will likely never disappear. Modern humans, in contrast to other organisms, have always been on a search for answers to a broad set of questions including:
Is there a god?
How can we harness wind to make electricity?
How do we decrease our company's spending?
How do I get rid of these warts on my butt?
How do I get rid of my beer gut?
How can I hack my xBox?
How can I make money online?

I don't think there's any standard answer as to what keywords cost. Much of the cost (when Google is concerned) is dependent on an advertiser's quality score. One advertiser may be required to pay 5 cents per click; another 5 dollars!

Dennis, I think the best advice is to just jump in and try it for yourself. There are people at all different levels of success in this forum. So don't let the people who are really struggling or not making any money discourage you into thinking that no one is making money.

I know people who were just getting started 2 years ago that are making 7 figures annually! The opportunities if you're willing to work are still pretty incredible.

Well said. I would like to add that it might be a good idea to read less of the posts of the "strugglers". I think most of them are doing a lot of things right, but are also doing some things that are inherently wrong which are keeping them from success.

If you want to do it, just do it. There is so much opportunity here and as more people are becoming confident in shopping online, I believe that means things will only get better for the savvy.

I haven't noticed a decline in my sales through Clickbank and the affiliates that I promote. I would say that you might want to stick with what you know and keep working that angle for awhile. There's plenty of money to be made right now! Probably always will be if you stay on top of the changes.

Best of luck to you!

Thank you all!

Great info here! I agree, the best thing is to get in and get going and give it a try, I just don't want to go about it the wrong way. I have been reading some free ebooks and am getting ready to jump in!
