Mine was first day with a 2nd tier PPC engine. I put $25 in promoted a few buis opp offers with a squeeze page. I made 5 sales, it was almost too easy back in the day it seems :wink:

Oh, Ok. I like these kind of threads. They're kind of inspirational.

I started promoting Clickbank products when I was in college. I didn't have a web site or anything. I don't think adwords even existed back then. I did offline advertising.

Here's how it went. Since I was in college with a student body made up of a higher proportion of males than females, I came to realize that many men at my school may have been suffering from chronic involuntary celibacy.

So what I did was I found some "get girls" types of products from the good old trusty Clickbank Marketplace and made up some flyers which I hung up in various campus buildings, including the male dormitory's.

Now since I didn't have a web site, I used the free url cloaking service at http://shorturl.com/, so I had these 8.5" x 11" flyers touting the products to the miserable and horny male student population and each one had urls such as http://get-college-girls.vze.com. Using somebody else's subdomain didn't prove to be a problem either.

What was cool is that it didn't cost me a dime to print out hundreds & hundreds of flyers because I did it in the school's computer labs:lol:. The computer labs were like my own printing press. I figured why not, better get the most out of the outrageous cost of tuition.

So I got these flyers all posted in classrooms, dorms, hallways and such and within the first week I started getting sales. I was hooked man, hooked!

And I might mention that colleges seem to be a goldmine for marketing as the kids all have credit cards & no discipline in using them. Not to mention they all want to get laid, have cool stuff, get more money... you know what I mean. They're hedonists.

And now that I think about it, there are companies that exist that you can pay them to canvas college campuses with your own flyers. Might be something I'll try later on.

Oh yeah, if anybody wants to talk about offline advertising through flyers, hit me up. I've got some tips.

I made my first (and last) sale on clickbank about 6 month ago by spamming usfreeads. Never received my 20 bucks because clickbank requires 5 purchases from different cards before sending checks with commissions.

My story is a little bit the same like you however it took me two days to receive my first two sales i wrote two articles for it. One is for burn the fat and the other was for the secret credits bible.
Good keyword research + article marketing + excellent signature + targeted landingpage = $$$$
