Hello everyone,
My question is what is the best way to get Affiliates to promote a product?
The Sexual Illuminati is a brand new product that launched on Clickbank yesterday and is paying 50% commission on sales.
The ELITE package is now only $29.99
The ULTIMATE package is now only $49.99
I feel that the best time to come on board is during a launch because there are only a few people promoting the product so the competition is minimal. With minimal competition, that means more $$$ for Affiliates. The best time to make quick money is during a launch while the product is gaining popularity and has not yet saturated the market. That's a secret I learned from some Super Affiliates.
So what should I do to attract Affiliates?

Here is my take on affiliate recruitment:
1. Forums - try to network with affiliates and send personal messages - general posts never work
2. Search Engines - go to the major PPC engines and try to find affiliates who promote your competitor products. Again a personal approach is required, you can not send mass emails to all of them
3. If your budget allows hire an affiliate recruiter

How to get MOTIVATED affiliates?
- Give them support with extensive sales material (advertising texts for classifieds, for forum signatures, for different kinds of ezine ads etc., banner graphics etc)
- Educate them about all the ways they can promote your product, maybe offer free coaching when they promote your program.
- Write a email series for them to remind them to promote your program.
- Give high commissions and bonus commissions.
- Make contests
Otherwise maybe affiliates are signing up, but take no action because they have no clue what to do.

I don't know the best way to get affiliates to promote a product, but I will say that spamming members of eWealth & CBSF via PM (as you have done) is NOT the best way to get affiliates to promote a product.

Yea I got a PM from him too. In all fairness, however, Lev did recommend it in his post above (sending PM's).

Maybe so. It seemed a pretty spammy & obtrusive way to gain attention for a product. Just so you know I was pretty put off by it, but would have been less so if the message contained something indicating permission from Lev. I wouldn't be surprised if others felt the same way. Maybe not though. Anyhow, I wish you luck with your program. Dating related stuff goes over well with the right horny/lonely audience.

Yeah, I can think that one can slightly be annoyed by such PMs.
So what's the right way to do it, as Lev has recommended it?
I think it's good not to send a mass message, but to make it as much personal as possible. Look at the profile and websites of the member and also his postings. Then you can say maybe, hey, I see you seem to be a successful affiliate and you are promoting this and that, and I think my product would fit for you, and so on.

While not to play salesman.:innocent: You can announce your program to all 20K members for only $600 or you can get a banner in the newsletter for $250.
Also people love contest, you put up the prize, run it for free. Or make the contest the first thing people see when they go to the main section for only $50/week. You would probably only need it for a week or two to create some interest.
If your low on money try and teach some people in the newbie forum how you make money with your program. It's your program if you can't make a profit from it's, going to be hard to get someone else to give it a go.

Probably the fastest way, if you have the money, to recruit affiliates is through
affiliate-announce.com
You may also submit your affiliate program to affiliate directories and contact non-competing marketers in a similar niche with an enticing JV proposal.
