I have noticed with my own articles and checking at least 10 other authors at random that rarely are the articles shown more than 200 times on ezinearticles.

So if an article is good and gets 3% CTR (anyone got better averages?) with a 50% conversion on that only 3 sales will be made. . . pretty crap huh.

Anyone able to refute that info with solid proof?

Are you counting the value of submitting to ezine articles only by the number of times someone views your article on their site?

Yes. of course if the article get syndicated (correctly) then I can see a more decent potential . . . but who knows what those other stats will be. Though, now that I think on it I could include a tracking code related to the article right?

Good to have tracking, don't just give up, try to test other way to be more efficient in article marketing.

Did you try to post on other tops article directory ? If your niche is too "niche" then it will take time for people to show up.

I use article marketing to attract search engine, I would suggest to use keyword research tool to get the good "keywords", then write the articles around it, preferably separate the article into 2 parts.

1 parts try to attract visitor to your site for more detail information. If your article is in this structure : Problem->Solution->problem->solution...->recommendation, should be able to attract attention to your site.

If article is index by search engine, try to see if it shows in search engine first page for the niche you're in, if so you have free organic search from time to time! Do SEO on articles is always easier than web site...

Lastly will be optimizing your web site to convert. I think you are in right track to test test and test your article, search result and web site, success is something to come soon...

Thanks KKChoon, I will see if I can take up some of your great tactics. I have a very small niche and need to develop it much better.

Cheers!

You can test on how effective or compelling your Resource Box is. No matter how good your article is, the resource box is still responsible for getting the clicks.

The title is important as well, because they won't read the rest of your article if the title does not catch their attention.

I am writing at least 2 articles a day for ezine articles. I notice that their Alexa is like six hundred and something, which is excellent for submitting your articles to and getting that backlink from them, if your article is accepted. you figure if you do the mental math on writing at least 40-50 articles a month for them, with all articles submitted pointing to one URL, the amount of FREE traffic you'll get. Now, say WOW to that 1...:-)

The quality backlinks are definitely where the benefit is. It magnifies the more articles you post. If you're just going for a lot of traffic from the link itself, you might want to throw a few articles into Article Marketer and have them blasted everywhere. But after a few months those will end up in the supplemental results on Google.
