I'm new to the forum and have a couple of questions, if someone wouldn't mind pointing me in the right direction. First off, a little about me. I'm a domainer at heart, but there are some domains I would like to monetize better. I'm looking into minisites and affiliate programs.
I have a little bit of experience with affiliate programs from another site I ran a few years ago, but I'm totally clueless when it comes to Adwords.
I'm interested in promoting CourtRecords.org from ProCash, but I'm a little in the dark as to what all I need to do. I know I need to create an Adwords account and sign up with ClickBank, but that's about it. :)
From what I can gather from reading posts about Adwords, it is better to have a lot of low CPC keywords, rather than a few expensive ones. Is this true? I really need the cheap ones. Also, have all of the good keywords been farmed out already? I'm pretty good at choosing keywords due to my domain experience, but I wondered how hard it would be to get anything good?
Have any of you been doing well promoting Court Records? Also, does having a highly relevant domain help in your coversions, in your experiences?

Thanks for the help guys.

First of all welcome to ewealth Haven :)

If you want to promote courtrecords.org, first thing, yes will be to create an adwords account, set up your ads, keywords. Use the Google keyword tool. Use keywords like criminal records, court records, background checks ect.. The best bet is to go the website and see what keywords are used there.
Then, if you already have a Click Bank account, just copy and paste your id into the linking code where it says "yourid". Then constantly monitor your ads, delete bad keywords that waste money but bring no sign ups, maybe add a few more new ones.

Thanks for the welcome and info guys. I was also wondering what the advantage was of using Adwords over just re-directing my domain to my affiliate URL and buying traffic to send to it. Or is it a good idea to do both?
Also, how many keywords is a good starting point? I'm kind of clueless as to how many clicks to expect.

Thanks again.

Alright Haven Here ya go.

First buying traffic is nowhere near as targeted. You might get gamer traffic or home loans traffic or hitbot traffic you just never know. Purchased traffic is shady at best. Some is good semi targeted some is crap. PPC can be ultra targeted traffic so the conversion is better.

As far as keywords A butt load of targeted words is best. Always include a -free negative keyword. Also putting the price in your ad will lower your ctr but should increase your conversion.

I'll give you a short list to work off of. To get this list I used keywords found at the site and http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ Then use the adwords tool to increase the list.

Run this as one group including keyword "court records" in your ad.

Take each on of these, plug it into the overture tool. Take the list of keyword take out the "free" searches. Make an ad group, with each starting word's results and use adwords keyword tool. Use your starting keyword as many times as possible in the ads. Use words like Unlimited, Super, Complete, etc. Make At least two ads for each group like above. One word can make a difference. Tweak these ads often, until it works great.

Try not to go over 20 cent's a click. Also Set a low daily budget till you get the hang of it.

Wow. Thanks for such an informative post and for the lists of keywords. That's awesome.
My biggest concern right now, is ad placement I guess. It seems like with a low daily budget that my ad will not even show on the first page, but in page 2 or 3 of "More Sponsored Links"
I wouldn't think anybody would delve that deep into sponsored links.
But, I don't know, maybe they do?

Also, could you explain what you mean by "always include a free negative keyword"?

Sorry for all of the questions, but I really appreciate it. Going to read the links now.

Thanks again

The Daily budget has to do with how much you spend daily not you keyword placement. The more sponsored links also show on 2-3 page searches. While it's good to be on the first page. You do this with less popular more targeted keywords. This way your not bidding $1-2 per click. The CPC has to do with placement. Bid per word. Daily budget is how many times your ad shows in a day. Example(only), If you set your daily budget at say $5.00 and spend $1.00 per click your ad will most likely be first on the list but after 5 clicks you ad will stop showing.

Also, could you explain what you mean by "always include a free negative keyword"?

A -free keyword will exclude any search that includes free in the search. These are people searching for free stuff. Even with the price in the ad, sometimes they click just to check it out. These are some of the cheaper people on the net.

It not mandatory. That one word can and has screwed up a whole campaign.

Feel free to ask all the questions you want.

Thanks again Adrian for the help. I'm gonna get started with those keywords and go from there. I'll just watch and make adjustments along the way.
I'd be happy to just make a couple hundred extra a month. More than that would be great though. :)

Cheers
