Hello!

Has anyone here ever CONSISTENTLY been able to make PPC sales on a regular basis through Google AdWords with their sponsored link showing up some pager OTHER than the first page of Google Sponsored Ads results? eg) Page 2 or more.

Or is it true that you HAVE to be on page 1, and in ad positions 1 through 6, in order to get legitimate click-thru traffic that results in a sale?

I've been struggling with a handful of campaigns to try to get them to the top of Google's results, but I always end up having to pay 50 cents or more per click (sometimes a dollar or more) in order to stay competitive...

... But when I do THAT, the number of available clicks to me for my budget goes down... and I end up with no sales.

Help!!!

Try using long tail keywords with less competition - use keywords that consist of at least three words, as these will be more targeted.

You don't always have to be on page 1 but 90% of people don't go past it.

Being on the first results page doesn't always produce sales. I had a 5th spot a week ago, and was just about to pat myself on the back when I noticed that 3 of the spots ahead of me were promoting the very same product! My title was catchy enough to get alot of clickthroughs as there was a freebie attached and I'm sure that people were curious. However, sales for that particular product have been very low, predictably. I think I will try Getagrip's suggestion.
