Google tracking w/ amazon

I just signed up for amazon's affiliate program.

Would someone please tell me how to effectively incorporate Google TID with amazon's affiliate program.

I sent them an email and got this response:

"Please note that any additional formatting that you use for the
Amazon.com Associates links may prevent the links from being tracked
by us. We would recommend not adding any additional formatting, such
as Google Adwords tracking IDs, as you indicated in your message."

Any comment is appreciated. :)
