Ok what is the trick to doing ads in Craigs list. I just noticed that in the TOS they said affiliate marketing not allowed. I had some of my ads flagged with in a few minutes of making them.
I am sure there is a trick to get around this. Let me know what your doing to make this work. I also herd there is some auto ad makers for craigs list. This seems to be a great idea. Let me know. Of course I don't want to be kicked out of my affiliate program for spamming but really there has to be a way to get away with it. With low risk.

Well since Craigslist is being difficult I am moving onto usfreeads. I did find they will not let you keyword stuff. So that makes it more difficult. I will have to make different ads for each keyword to keep in the rules. But really who knows how much they enforce it.

Lets just say that knowing how to write a craigslist ad and getting away with it will cost you some bucks to find out.
I'm sure for those who knows the tricks and tips of a successful ad marketing has spent atleast $50 and if not more. I've spent that much and its still sitting in my files.

Getting away with craiglist. This is what I did.
1. Write a pre-sell page. (can be a full site or a blog but make sure it adds value to your visitors)
2. Place affiliate link in your presell page.
3. Write craiglist ads.
4. Place your presell page url in the ads.
This does not violate the terms of craiglist as the presell page is not an affiliate link.

Thanks for the info. By the way I moved away from using usfree ads. I did not get good result with them. It could be many reasons. I don't know if it was the niche or my ads or what. I will give craigs list a try. I just made a nice content site that should work.
Thanks man. I have heard some tricks to do with Craigs list just curious if anyone would give some pointers. Some were a little shady. This is a little more white hat. Thanks again.
By the way people flag you just so your ads will not compete with them. It is like a war. Not all the flagging is from friendly people calling it spam it is from competitors. It is not fair but it is a fact.

Nice tips on how to not get ads thrown out. Us free ads does get traffic but not as much as craigs list and you have to pick a very specific phrase to get traffic.

Yeah putting up a content page does not work well. I tried it and my ads are getting flagged. It seems to be different for different Citys. I an not sure if there is a number of flaggs your allowed before they close your account. My ads are gettting flagged at a high rate. I am still learning how to do this.
As far as the certain pharse are you talking about craigslist or free ads? I got some ideas on what the phrase is. PM me if you feel like telling.

Ads will almost always get flagged. The question is - how long will they stay before they get flagged? I have had the best results - by NOT posting a URL. Put up a great sales pitch, and have them to reply to the ad or email you. Then have an autoresponder set up with your sqeeze page.

I use craiglist quite a bit and have good results...but i post in small biz and try to offer a product.
The thing is to also post in the top cities where craiglist is getting used the most
here is a free link from google to find out what they are at the moment.

Also make your heading some wierd interesting type of heading...
key is if you use ebay and money your response is 67% higher.

I've heard of somebody having success by posting a simple ad in craigslist and directing them to call a 1-800 number which either asked people to leave their email or it gave them the website address I'm not sure exactly which it was.

I don't know why most of the ads get flagged....is it intentional?

As was stated in earlier posts: COMPETITORS will flag your Ads to take you out of the game, eliminating the competition. Not very ethical IMHO, but that's the reality of the situation.

craigslist has a group of tired old people who believe it is their job in life to keep craigslist clean. go to the help section and get in the forum where people as legitimate questions and get harrased.
one trick i can give you to doing craigslist is have different topic for each ad, have a different first paragraph and a different last paragraph so the bots dont catch it and always delete the ad in the morning and wait untill later to repost.

The issue with deleting ads is you lose your seo. You sometimes can get some search traffic because google ranks the site. Your listing could be getting search traffic. Thus, you may want to keep some of them up.
Good note on the paragraphs.

I post 20 plus ads everyday on Craigslist. I actually do quite well with 15 to 26 (my highest response) leads per day just from Craigslist. I wrote a free little write up that I can give you if you want to pm me...i dont want to get in trouble by putting the link up here:-)
