In search of the 1 cent clicks, I have begun using site targetting but have experienced little success. Anyone else?

I wasn't asking for a link to buy anything. I've read all those. Mostly rehashed stuff with a twist. Adwords 180 just talks about site targetting on Adwords and I haven't had much success with it. Wondering if anyone else had.

I've been trying to use it extensively since reading AW180. Seems pretty quirky though....most sites I can't even get my ads to show up without jacking my CPM well over $2:shock:

I liked how he talked about targeting your ads to specific pages within a site...but I can't get that particular method to work for anything...ad NEVER shows up.

I think there's a lot of $ to be made from site targeting, but there's also a lot of money to be wasted testing in order to find those profits.

Yeah he really stresses testing a lot in that ebook. Did you check out the Adwords 180 forum. He gives you a link in the email when you buy the book. Anyways, there is a private area for people that bought the book. He has some tips there. If you have issues I am sure Ivan or what ever his name was would help you.

When I first used the CPM I lost $10 in a minute using it. But that was before I got the Adwords 180. I did not want to waste money buying Adwords 180 at the time. So I figured it had to not be that hard. But after trying a little I quit. Because of the $10 loss. But then Chris McNeeny emailed me from Day Job Killer and suggest Adwords 180.

So I decided to try it. It was not what I expected. I thought that it would have more techniques and hidden stuff but really the thing is based on really two techniques. There is two ways to get traffic using it. One is using PPC content sites.

The other is the CPM method of targeting specific webpages. Which if you got the right page and did some testing could be profitable.

So it is a matter of testing. You want to do small CPM tests first then once you got it working.

I had the same problem trying to get cheap cpm's too. It takes time to get working. I suggest checking out the forum you can learn a lot form the other members that have been using the technique.

Did you guys get a lot of traffic using this method?? It may not convert but you can link it to adsense and make some money if nothing else. Also, try an optin list.

There is some other stuff to tweak. This method has it's own use I believe.

You may want to use PPC and Free traffic along with the Adwords 180 method.

I have heard that Yahoo is doing something different by charing less for low quality traffic. I wonder if that is worth looking in to.

Also with the new PPA google is working on is interesting. It is Pay Per Action marketing.

I am not really that familiar with the last two.

You should ask around.

I started a brand-new AdWords Site-Targeting Campaign on July 8th and as of this posting, I have made a gross (not net!) profit of $115 (5 sales) in a 36 hour period.

So yes, it is definitely possible to be successful with this.

I'm fairly new to this myself so I'm still learning, experimenting, and tweaking.
I'm no expert at this, but based on my observation, you can drain your AdWords Site-Targeting budget fairly quickly if you don't know what you're doing... since you pay per 1000 impressions, not per clicks, with this method.

Thus, you pay whether someone clicks on your link or not. But then again, the whole purpose of site-targeting is to bring the ads to a very specific audience of customers, rather than having the broad pool of customers do a search and find you.
