Well the simple answer is YES! I've tried out the techniques described by Travis Sago and I've been getting good results. I'm sure many of you have already heard of the Bum Marketing Method but if not here is a quick explanation. It involves writing an article related to your niche and then submitting it to one or two of the main article sites. Travis explains how you can get your article high in the search engines. It involves chosing a title that hasn't got much competition but gets searched quite a lot.

Anyway what I wanted to say is, I tested this method and submitted a single article to just two sites. I did that 3 weeks ago. Now if you type the title of my article into google it is number 1 out of 16,200,000. But this gets even better. If I remove one word from the search it is still the first result but this time out of 38,000,000. This is the first article I have written and look at the results and it is bringing me traffic due to the link in my authors bio. If you can write articles on a regular basis then you will gradually be increasing traffic to your website. You can find out more about the Bum Marketing Method by searching in google.

Just as a final note, I highly recommend this method!!

Agreed the bum marketing is the most successful method, but when we submit the same article to the multiple directories, some say that GOOGLE will penalise it as it is an issue of duplicate content.

I have a solution for you. Go to this site. Download the e-book. Once you are signed up I will tell you in a PM how I get traffic. It's amazing!

I used to re-write my articles; but it takes so much time I decided to just write new articles.

I also submit each article to around 40 article directories with PR 4 or above, as I've heard people say that submitting to hundreds of directories might be treated as spamming. I'm not sure if that's true though.

If you submit the same article to many directories this is so, this is why you need to spin your articles so that each version is slightly different to each article directory

I just keep writing new ones every day. Even though I'm rehashing some of the information from memory, it helps make the articles more distinct. Got to have a good resource box to go with that high rank too.

You can also use squidoo to help with the same goals.

One thing most people don't think about is that you can ping the rss feed of your ezinearticles list every time you publish a new article. And even bookmark it on the social networks.

I've been on the Bum Method for a few weeks, too. I love writing the articles, knowing that they'll be bringing in money for me!
