Free Article Submitters?

Hello everyone,

I have recently started writing articles to promote my site and so far I've been submitting them to a few of the more well known article sites like goarticles.com. I was wondering whether it was worth using one of those free article submitters that was meant automatically submit your article to hundreds of sites. Yesterday I downloaded one of these programs but I haven't tried it out yet as I wanted some opinions on it first. The reason I have hesitated about using it is because I noticed that most of the sites on it have a very low page rank with google and I weren't sure whether it was worth the effort if it wasn't going to generate me much more traffic. I hope someone can help.

I also have just started writing articles it has done no good yet but I will wait a few weeks to get the articles googled...

The free submitter is OK. However, article submission is no longer as effective as it used to be.

This is because search engines are much stricter on duplicated contents now. And essentially if you do not modify what you have submitted, subsequent submissions of the same article will be deemed as duplicated content.
