Hey everybody I was hoping you could show me how to reduce my cpc, I cant seem to get my keywords below $0.23, they go inactive if I try. I was hoping some of you could provide suggestions

My campaign is directed to selling a bonsai tree ebook

My only negative keyword is "free"

I'm running 5 adgroups but I'm justing showing the most popular one, this ones "theme" is Bonsai Care

Keywords:

Ads:

The website I'm promoting is http://blah23.cbpower.hop.clickbank.net/

P.S. How do I track conversions? Do I need to send the affiliate my google script in order to track them or is there an easier way?

Thanks for your help

Hi,

You may want to buy your own domain name. Also you are stuffing way too many keywords into one ad group. Get more targeted. Especially with your ads.

Ok, here are tips that helped me actually lowering keyword costs to sometimes 1/3rd!!! (for example 23c to 8c)

1. Yes, try to create separate ad groups for each keyword that gets enough clicks and put the exact keyword phrase into the title (helps a lot!). And put more keywords into the ad.

2. Try to use the different matching types, general match, phrase match and exact match (phrase, "phrase" and [phrase])

3. sometimes when creating a NEW ad group with another ad, the keyword cost is way lower than before.

4. get high CTR, but you have already awesome CTR.

The tips work often, but not always. It seems to me when the competition is high, then it's often not possible to get cheaper clicks. Apart from getting higher CTR maybe but then you have to pay the high costs until the price gets hopefully lower...it is generally not recommendable to go in bid wars. When you are a pro and have enough cash, maybe ,hehe.

BTW, the tips have really worked for me, but I am loosing with adwords. It is beyond me why I get no sales. :(
Can someone help me? lol!

Hi.

Clickbank has tracking now. So go back to marketplace to get the link
again but this time you can add a word, or phrase to see which add or
adgroup is bringing in your sales.

Came across a lovely video from Jeremy about getting cheaper cost for
your ppc campaign from msn. Still have not watched it all yet but will be
happy to send you the url if you pm me.

All the best,
Anthony

andyz your post is pretty good.

With knowledge like that you should be making some money,
but I understand...my cb bars have been too flat lately!

Are you using landing pages for your campaigns...and gathering addresses?

Thanks mate. :)

No, no landing pages yet. But I will soon. But I thought it is possible to make good cash without even. Not so easy maybe but with a bit good work....

with volume that low its gonna be hard to get extremely low.

hi volume + hi ctr% = constantly reviewed and lowering price.

almost like it takes x number of clicks before google believes your ctr isnt a fluke. (prob part of the math) my hi-volume terms seem to get a price review one or twice a week.

also noob us all 3 versions:

keyword
[keyword]
"keyword"

this adwords wrapper with make it EZ!

You would be better off to get your own domain name. You have to many keywords in your ad group.Your keywords need to be more targeted. It looks like you are using all broad match keywords. You need to use phrase and exact match keywords also.Clickbank now has tracking you can use to track your conversions.
